When an opportunity arose in early 2012, Restpadd and its founder chose to partner with Shasta County to help meet the mental health needs of the community. We are now able to give patients the treatment they need without having to leave the North State. This is a wonderful benefit for both patients and their families. Services
Restpadd Psychiatric Health Facility (inpatient) offers services to adults, 18 years and older. At Restpadd, we focus on patient's strengths as we individualize their treatment plans. We promote active family involvement and effective collaboration with their caregivers and support system. Our goal is to return our patients back to the community as quickly as clinically appropriate.

Safety is a paramount priority at Restpadd. Restriction to visitations could be prescribed based on safety reasons. Restpadd ensures compliance with the California Mental Health Regulations and Patient Rights. When patients are admitted to Restpadd, they are served by various mental health and medical professionals.
Dr Swanson went to the University of Minnesota Medical School, then moved to California and did his residency in psychiatry at the University of California, Irvine. Upon retiring after 30 years in private practice in psychiatry, he and his wife moved to Redding to live near their two children and their families.

This has been the most horrific experience. They took my 18-year-old… They have the most condescending stuff. They do not listen, they refuse to adhere to patient requests. They insist on pushing medication. They refuse to communicate with family. Even when medications are causing extreme side effects of palpitations and extreme blood pressure fluctuations… The doctor still insist on pushing the medications. It took me to get another doctor to put it in writing that the medications they were giving them were bad in order for them to stop Giving my son the medication. They refuse to let me talk

In 2015 when I was transported to restpadd from Burney ca the first few days I was there they had me on lithium they refused to take me off after I ask to be removed from it I discharged my self with out doctors permission after my 5150 was done . I walked into a clinic to have emergency blood work done I was so high on my levels I was being overdosed on lithium. I have never went back there cause I felt is all they wanted was my money and use my body as a test prospect and also when I first got there walked through the doors they sedated me I was being compliant and nice they sedated me and by
