I would give Smileland zero stars and a medical mal-practice lawsuit given they proceeded to damage my daughters teeth and torture my daughter for their business gain. Smileland Dentist and staff diagnosed our daughter with having two cavities' one on each upper molar. They did not provide us x-rays nor schedule a future appointment for x-rays and wanted to continue with fillings, scheduling the appointment 6 months out. A second opinion from another dentist with good reviews was sought after. Comfort Children's Dental evaluated our daughter and found no cavities, providing proof with x-rays. PARENTS

Visited this office to schedule an appointment and a supervisor named Diane was blatantly rude and refused to keep the office in order kids running around it felt like I was applying for state aid and not dental treatment for my child when I got to the counter there was dust everywhere it seemed like they couldn’t even clean the counters bad management. Before I left I even went to the restroom to see the state it was in felt like a litter box pee on the floor and toilet paper ripped about will be visiting the Bernard location a lot better maintained

Over 2 hour wait to have X-rays done and then I waited another 30 min for cleaning. After 30 min I ended up leaving without cleaning because I had another appointment to go to. It’s unfortunate there are so many parents that take their kids and have to return to work. I wish they would take that into consideration and not book past their capability.

My daughter is a new patient here and we transferred here from another dental office because I would be saving money here. Well this is our last visit because the staff here have no regard for your time. Our appointment was at 2:30pm and it is 4pm and we still are not done just for a SIMPLE EXAM. One thing I notice about offices that accept medi-cal is that they will treat you and your time like you have absolutely nothing else to do. I have other kids, I cannot sit around for 2 hours watching all the staff walk around. I will be going back to our original dentist using my PPO dental plan where

My one star is based on the organization and respecting people’s time, and not based on the dental treatment itself, as my son wasn’t able to have it!
After getting there 5 min prior to my son’s appointment time, I was told at the door that they were short staffed and that I had to wait around two hours for dental treatment. I had to leave right away as I couldn’t wait that long.

My kids been at this dentist for two years the nurse are awesome and nice and patient but the dr are so rude and not patient and this the only dentist that doesn’t allow parents back there for treatment even before covid, and the dr don’t respect privacy like they give ur diagnose in front of other patients and parents the dentist lady is mean and rude to children and parents I will be transferring my kids to Bakersfield Kids' Dentistry and Orthodontics on Allen rd so nice their and allow parent in w their child. I have 3 boys that go to SmileLand Dental on Ming and each time I?ve gone the staff has been wonderful. They make me feel like they really care. Not only are they careful when working with my boys, they know how to interact with children very well. Their points and prizes system works really works like a charm, it encourages my boys to come back and take good care of their teeth. That?s not all though, I especially love that they follow up on my boys the same day of a major procedure ( if any) to make sure they are feeling ok. Thank you guys so much for taking good care of my babies.

Great and friendly staff. I brought my 3 kids and I appreciate that the dental assistants do their very best to make the kids feel comfortable when they are cleaning their. I took my 1yr old and they were soo friendly and they an amazing job at keeping him calm to check and clean his teeth. My oldest son loves talking to the assistants while being there. My middle usually has trouble with getting his teeth clean but this time the dental assistant was able to clean and do everything they needed with out any trouble and he came out with a big smile on his face.

So I brought my kids to get exams & a cleaning after waiting they say they aren't due until the 18 and they can't be seen but I can come back tomorrow like why would they schedule me after the last appointment for today and call and confirm appointment yesterday made me waist my time for nothing like it's easy finding a babysitter now a days with the pandemic second time they do this last time they had me waiting over 3 hours for them to then tell me they had the wrong file and wouldn't be seen! They are only getting 1 star because I had to give one to rate them!

The times I have taken my children to this location have always been pleasant. My children have had dental treatment done by Dr. Thai and she is wonderful! Dr. Thai makes the visit comfortable and explains well of what will be done to my children regarding dental procedures. Dr. Thai engages with my children of who,what, and why she does what she does by using them using words they understand.

I personally had a great experience here. Took my kids for the first time and the staff was friendly, the doctor and nurse that worked on them were nice and gentle, my 2 yr old who I expected to give them a hard time felt comfortable and enjoyed her experience. Will be scheduling their regular dentist appointments here from now on!

Do not bring your kids here. This place is very unorganized and over booked.! I've been sitting in the waiting room for over an hour now. My boys were called to the back for xrays and sent back to the waiting room. I was told they don't have a room open yet! Why would they give us an appointment for 345 and make us wait this f***'n long, RIDICULOUS! .. This place is seriously ridiculous. I dont know how they stay open. Looks worst than an emergency room... Its loud, dirty and smells of urine..This place needs an inspections audit team asap. Its full of families waiting to be seen

Zero stars should be an option. Waited for an hour in a dirty loud lobby, an hour past my daughter's appointment by the way. Then they began calling in people that had been waiting less than 5 minutes. Plus there was people that had been there waiting before us still waiting. We just got up and walked out. Will never recommend to anyone.

When I went the staff in the front were exceptional, very kind and helpful. I appreciate it so much. Dr. Mugatasa was awesome, playful with the kids which certainly made it easier having 4 kids, and always smiled as well as educated me on everything that was done. Thank you Dr. Mugatasa and all the staff. We will be coming back soon.

The male dentist Dr. Moqtash was able to communicate with my daughter at her level which made my daughter feel comfortable and cooperative. I understand dentists are there to do their job but for someone to manage my daughter in the dental chair and make her laugh and enjoy the process is a big plus plus.

I have been hesitant to post this review because I do like this office and the other doctor who usually sees my daughter but I can not ignore what happened during my last visit because my daughter and myself are still very upset about it.
I was schedule for treatment for my daughter under sedation and was extremely offended when the doctor "hua" kept insisting and refused to do it because she was too overweight. There are different ways she could have approached this but instead she kept on saying how overweight she was for her age and I even overheard her saying my daughter was obese

DON'T GO HERE! This place just wants to do unnecessary work on your kid to milk the insurance. They said my kid had 6 cavities and needed 3 baby root canals. This didn't sound right to me, so we went somewhere else for a second opinion. He ended up needed 5 (not 6!) fillings and NO root canals! STAY AWAY from SmileLand.
