After living in Japan and Okinawa I was able to see the value of Eastern medications. The art of true healing through herbs is something that has eluded us here in the west. Big pharmaceutical companies are not in it to heal. They are in it to make money. That's big pharms only bottom line. Eastern herbs actually go about it in a holistic approach. The Owners know this and will go out of their way to help you get what will truly work. I can't wait to meet the Herbalist. Anyone not wanting to stay sick should do their own research into the history of Eastern healing with herbs. 23,000yrs of history

I've been coming here for about four years now at the recommendation of my fantastic TCM/Acupuncturist. I've gotten to know Ling and Guan, and am heartened by their spirit and generosity. Some things require a prescription, and my acupuncturist can just email them and have it ready for pickup, or, if they need to blend it on the spot it only takes a moment. Their in-house specialist, Don Lightner, is also fantastic, though I see him in his private practice with Kimon Wellness (which is just phenomenal).

Run by really nice people. Clean, well organized. Be careful. Not all the herbs are "herbs." I looked up all the ingredients in my prescription and one of them is "turtle shell." Since traditional Chinese medicine also includes animal based ingredients-- some from endangered species like tigers and rhinos, not to mention bear gall, produced by extremely cruel methods on "bear farms" in China (you can look it up yourself)-- be sure to check out what you've gotten hold of. Easy on the internet. They write the ingredients in both Chinese characters and English

I have been coming here for over 20 years, always friendly help and great prices! Back in 2006 I had been suffering from a cold for 2 months and nothing seemed to get rid of it, Vitamin C, echinacea, etc. I finally decided to consult the herbalist and see if she could help me. It cost me $100 for the consultation and the herbs, but it was worth it! I cooked up the herbs she gave me and a day later I felt great!
Fantastic store!

Just stopped in here because the word "herbs" caught my eye. Turns out it's only Chinese herbs, which is fine, but before the friendly lady behind the counter could tell me about any Chinese equivalent to the herb I was looking for, some pompous dude in the corner started a lecture about Chinese medicine, claimed the herb I was looking for was from a country that it is not actually "from" (as in originated in), and even used the royal we a couple of times. What a great way to get rid of potential customers.
