I came to America as a young woman. Although I already had a degree in architecture and design, I wanted to start my life anew in America. I didn't speak English, so I made sure my first goal was to learn the language and find a job. Things started out a bit rough, as I was robbed the first week I arrived, and all my money, luggage and even my credit cards and passport were stolen.
But tens of thousands of people came to this country over the past two hundred and fifty years with much less than what I had, so I just picked myself up and kept going. I found work at a reputable contracting company in South Florida, eventually making my way up the corporate ladder.

Marcela Montoya Remodeling recently did an entire renovation on our condo and the end result turned out better than we hoped. We were miles away in another state during the renovation and the entire process… from start to finish was seamless. Marcela is incredibly detail oriented and is very responsive. She kept the project on track and within budget. She helped us pick finishes that were in stock and at the right price point. Everyone was so professional, on time, informative, and the end result is beautiful. Marcela’s project mgr., Ginny, kept us informed who, what, and when the workers would be arriving…….all were exceptional.
The quality of the work was well worth finding a hands-on General contractor like Marcela. She saved us so much stress as she was familiar with condo restrictions, paperwork, and permitting.

Marcela was great to work with. Discussed a bath to shower conversion and it was above expectations. The design and workmanship are superior. Our association recently had major renovation and remodeling completed which was long overdue. This work included updating and modernizing 6 condo floors and our large meeting room. It required our association to meet with all the owners and Marcela. She assisted us with options to consider in selecting colors and material. Marcela and her team are amazing! She drew up a great quote and design. I relied heavily on her for suggestions. I gave her a vague idea of what I wanted and we went from there. The result is so beautiful. I can't believe it's my kitchen. We did all this with me being in California too! I can't imagine too many people I would trust to deliver a… kitchen while I'm working 3000 miles away. We finished even finished early and on-budget. I walked in yesterday to see it was even more beautiful in person! Thanks again for being super professional and easy to work with :)
