Our highly educated and experienced team works with each of our patients to set up an individualized therapy plan. We take the time to involve each patient in the decision-making process and help set realistic goals for you or your loved ones to return to the highest level of function possible.

We listen carefully to your needs and concerns, perform a comprehensive examination, explain our findings to you and then develop a treatment plan specifically for YOU.Our goal is to provide a comfortable, relaxed and friendly environment for everyone. Blood Flow restriction (BFR) training has been around since the early 1990's but has gained popularity in the rehabilitation and athletic worlds more recently.
Services
Our primary facility is located at 1625 Medical Center Point in Suite 180. This location is over 3000 sq ft and features 5 private treatment rooms alongside the main gym area. This essentially doubled our space by adding 3 more treatment rooms along with another large gym space. Along with the April expansion, we added 5 x 25 yds of turf outside the clinic.
Physical therapy is an allied health profession that uses movements, manual therapy, exercise and modalities (electrotherapy, ultrasound, etc.) to promote mobility and function. It is primarily used to improve a patient's quality of life and prevent or manage their injuries to improve and return to activity with increased mobility and less pain.
Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) or Inter-muscular Manual Therapy (IMT) is a technique used to treat active trigger points and deep muscle tension. This treatment technique is used by Physical Therapists all over the world and has become popular among athletes and people with chronic pain. The goal is to achieve a localized twitch response using small acupuncture needles to separate the muscle tissue and release pain and tension.
Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds and invests all structures of the body. Deep Fascial Release Therapy is a unique, complete and complementary system of therapist facilitated stretching, focused on the fascia as the key element in achieving optimal flexibility, strength, performance and pain relief.
Blood flow restriction is the application of a tourniquet system (Delfi BFR System) to the arm or leg that reduces the venous return of blood during exercise. CISM physical therapists will adjust the pressure of the device specifically to your blood pressure using a hospital grade tourniquet system.

My daughter previously did her therapy at revolution rehabilitation but didn't really get good results on a different body part. They are awesome though.
My daughter's coach referred here. (SHE'S A GYMNAST) Jackie did a phenomenal job. My daughter said she is very pleased & ready for competitions. She will always have some sort of pain until she stops gymnastics, but they definitely helped ease that pain, strengthened the muscles needed to help relieve the pain. Made her feel very comfortable. THANK YOU!

Outstanding Physical Therapy! Grace and Lindsay worked to put together a treatment plan and after a couple of months I am the best I've been in several years. They were very professional and positive, reassuring me through the whole process that they could fix me. It's important to note that I've been dealing with the same issue for several years, seen three different PT offices for treatment and had a surgeon operate on me who promised I'd be healed. None of the previous places where able to help and left me feeling very frustrated. In my opinion two things really stand out that set CISM apart

I came to CISM after an ACL and meniscus repair in September. Even though my surgery was uncommon and I had previous injuries to the same knee, Matt and Amber showed determination and passion in fixing me up until my last day. I canโ€™t express how grateful I am for the both of them for putting up with me and my stubborn knee the last 4 months. The entire staff was super supportive on my bad days and all worked to help me stay on my recovery track. I highly recommend CISM! They truly are the best at what they do!

I was sent to work on my to right shoulder. I have 3 tears in my rotator cuff. I was in a lot of pain. But with the help of Dr. Mac and an intern ( whoโ€™s name I cannot remember) I am free of pain. I was looking at surgery and out of work for 3 months. But not anymore. I would like to thank Mac and the intern for their help. I wish I could remember her name, but I know sheโ€™s from Connecticut.

Excellent staff (Dan the Man) for the most part, but the one star is for the ego-maniac owner Dr. Mac. Not only was he uncertain of the procedure that I had, but he had me on the wrong exercise prescription per the surgeon. It wasnโ€™t for six-eight weeks into PT that he noticed my swelling & pain was STILL at an acute level two months following the reconstructive ACL surgery . He apologized for not acknowledging the surgeons plan and that my meniscus was taken care of as well during the ACL reconstruction, but quickly deflected the issue on me for not being in my knee brace, which one of his therapist

I worked with Colorado Institute of Sports Medicine at the suggestion of my surgeon, Dr. Benjamin Kam, after my right total knee replacement. Scott was my physical therapist. Scott was great, the owners were fantastic, and the rest of the staff is also excellent.
I've worked with other excellent PTs in the Colorado Springs area, and this is now my favorite. Thank you!

I highly recommend Dan B and all the staff at CISM. I was referred to the practice for PT to address a chronic pain issue in my hip and back. Dan quickly assessed a strength imbalance. Through a customized PT regimen and dry needling, the pain is gone That ended a cycle of steroid injections and pain meds.
