Dr. Ben Yount and his associates are caring, thorough professionals and my husband and I are so glad we now have him as our dentist. I was referred to Dr. Yount. Having had 4 different dentists all my life, I will say Dr. Yount is the best! He spends time talking to you, we both have a keen interest in cars so we hit it off right away.
Dental cleanings are generally painless. Patients might have some sensitivity due to the vibration and sound of the handpiece or the scraping that is done on the teeth. If it's been awhile since you've had a cleaning, you may have some inflammation in the gums. Your hygienist can provide a topical anesthetic when needed.
Good dental preventative care is really important to ensure a healthy mouth, including your gums and teeth. It is important to brush your teeth at least twice daily to help remove plaque and food particles that get stuck to your teeth. It is recommended that you brush your teeth for two minutes (or longer), though most people rush through this time.

Great little dentist office that I've been going to since I was a child. The dentists that work here are truly fantastic and care about your dental health! Would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a new dentist in the San Francisco area.

My family has been going to and recommending Dr. Yount for several years and I finally started, too. I can’t overstate how gentle and thorough he is, and how pleasant my experience has been overall. His staff is also wonderful (shout out to Diane!). Dr. Yount’s manner with young children is really something special; my pandemic-shy 3yo just went for her first appt, and even she couldn’t help but smirk a few times. Thanks for everything!

I had some complicated restorative work resulting from a mountain biking accident a number of years ago. Dr Yount acted as my advocate across the other Drs involved in my treatment (orthodontist & periodontist) to ensure there was a cohesive plan to achieve the best outcome.
For the challenging dental work needed in my case (permanent crown for an implant where there was also gum

Dr Yount is the best dentist I have ever had. Not only is he extraordinarily well trained/informed, but also he is gentle and kind. A scientist as well as an artist. Since I want my teeth to look good when I leave (I am 75), I want an artistic scientist as my dentist. He is also a lovely person. I have had a lot of dentists throughout my life and he is the best. I was given his name by one of my doctors who also uses Dr Yount. I also just learned that he also does children. Although I have not seen that, I can only imagine Dr Yount would be patient and kind and superb with children as well as adults

First off I have dental anxieties from being traumatized as a youth.I am 60 now
and still have total dental anxiety so when Dr. Yount said my filling came out because my tooth chipped I was very worried to be drilled and refilled and getting Novocaine but it had to be done.Dr.Yount made it so painless and easy ,truly my best ever experience with a dentist and his drill.He is the BEST, he made me feel totally at ease,took great care to make me comfortable ,just numbed the right amount so the rest of my face didnt feel anesthetized.He is AWESOME and I have total confidence in him. I also am traumatized

By far the best dental office I have ever been to.
The hygienists here are friendly and very thorough, I easily get an hour with the hygienist for a cleaning and as you know most places don't do that. Ben is honest and an overall great guy. You won't have a better dental experience then this place. So glad I found this place.

I was referred to Dr. Yount. Having had 4 different dentists all my life, I will say Dr. Yount is the best! He spends time talking to you, we both have a keen interest in cars so we hit it off right away. Before I visited Dr. Yount, the last time I had been to a dentist was 2004. My last dentist looked in my mouth for 30 seconds and left after the hygienist cleaned my teeth, it felt very impersonal. Dr. Yount however spent time talking to me about my brushing and flossing habits. Turns out I was flossing incorrectly! He showed me the proper way to do it, and I see a major improvement in my gum

Zero complaints. The hygienists in the office do a great job of cleaning my teeth. Scheduling and billing is easy. Dr Yount is a very nice guy and i have confidence in his care although I have not needed it, he's just done regular check ups.
The only negative is that they don't do Delta Dental HMO, which is what my new insurance is forcing me to switch to so sadly I have to find another dentist. I'll miss my semi yearly teeth cleaning at Dr Yount's office.

Dr. Yount is like a younger version of Dr. Gregory - very pleasant, professional and takes care to explain the pros and cons of dental work before it is done.
At my recent visit I appreciated that he didn't push me to take full x-rays - after discussing with him I eventually decided that he would take only one x-ray of a suspicious tooth.

I was a patient of Dr. G and was really bummed when Dr. Ben took over, but I never should have worried. Dr. Ben Yount is a wonderful Dentist and I recommend him wholeheartedly. He explains everything, does excellent work and I've heard nothing but positive feedback from other friends I've referred there.

I have been going to Dr. Yount / Dr. Gregory for many years. This practice was recently transitioned to Dr. Yount as Dr. Gregory is moving on. While I had my initial doubts about Dr. Yount even before meeting him (I'm afraid of the dentist and Dr. Gregory was a great one), all those doubts have subsided since I've met him. Some time not too long ago, I had some major pain that was coming from one of my top teeth. It had gotten so bad that I couldn't chew. I called Dr. Yount on a Friday night and he had given me some advice on what to do. He said if it was still bothering me

I recently had two great experiences with this dentist. I had my regular check up & cleaning with my hygienist (who I love) and a cavity filled. I had the chance to meet the new doctor who had taken over my old dentists practice. Of course it's hard to part with a dentist you like but I am happy to have found a new dentist! Quite hilarious having my children screaming their lungs out while I was there but that didn't seemed to bother the staff and they were extremely accommodating. Especially Dr. Yount. It still feels warm and friendly like my old dentist because the same people are
