Sunday Morning Meditation is now in-person at the Nagaloka Buddhist Center from 8:30-10AM. The first hour of our practice is in the shrine room starting with saluting the shrine, followed by reciting the refuges and precepts. Matt Holden and Tom Handel take turns leading the meditation. After the refuges and precepts, Matt or Tom give.
We will be meeting online by Zoom on Wednesday evenings, 6:45-8:00pm if you would to join us. We value Sangha (spiritual community) and feel it is important for us to have the opportunity to be together. We will use this time to meditation along with a short check in to see how we can best.

Services
Nagaloka is a community in Portland, Maine, dedicated to the study and practice of Buddhism. We are an independent and self-governing center within the Triratna Buddhist Community, which is an international network of public centers, communities and projects. Our mission is to create the best possible conditions in which to explore and practice the Buddhist path.
Meditation is a state of increased awareness, helps to develop positive emotions and raises our level of being. Beginners to meditation may experience a warm, expansive heart along with less mental chatter. For more information on the meditation practices we teach at Nagaloka, visit Wildmind Buddhist Meditation.

Food was delicious. Not enough parking. I had to parallel park and ended up totaling mine and two other cars. The hibachi chef was very talented but I didn't like that his routine ended with him sitting indian style and lighting himself on fire. I would recommend going here but only if you can get a reservation.
