I love this store! Great butcher shop, produce, wine, cheese, a wall of hot sauces, great deli, espresso bar. They have it all, and it's all top notch.
I may live in Saint Helena, but something about the store makes it worth the drive. Calistoga has parking, is charming, and has a vibe that other Napa Valley towns lack. Is it the resorts? Is it the 19th century feel? Is it the palisades standing sentry over town? Dunno, but this store, this town feels great.

Since telling a luxury hotel with a 1-Michelin star rated restaurant SIX MONTHS IN ADVANCE that one is vegan doesn't result in provisioning vegan coffee creamer in the fridge, I popped into Cal Mart after an early morning bike ride on my birthday to pick up some plant-based creamer and yogurt.
First, I'd like to thank the man with the adorable black and white dog for crossing my path just as I was arriving so I could get in some pets and truly exuberant dog love to start my morning. YAY, doggies!

I have bought countless items over the past couple months that were either directly expired or obviously old. I purchased some cookies that had expired 5 days before, a bag of candies were very obviously old and crusty, and many pre-made coffees near the donuts have obviously been there for months as nearly every one of them is old. Editing this to 4 stars because you guys are great but please restock more often lol

Amazing grocery store with quality meat, deli food and good selection. The deli food and meats are amazing, the best of any grocery store I’ve been to. The selection of food is pretty good, although it is not a very big store so a lot of things you will not find here. For the only grocery store in Calistoga, it’s a great one!

Organic, hard to find groceries and gifts alongside fresh, luscious produce. Calistoga has been truly blessed to have such a good store for decades. I'm looking forward to the full return of the hot deli. I just hope a solution can be created for housing for middle-class income workers! This is a pricey place to live❤

My wife and I love to escape the big city life (yes I'm calling Sacramento a big city) and enjoy the relaxing small city vibes of Calistoga. Calistoga is perfect for its wineries and bed & breakfast establishments. What could use some work is the duration that restaurants are open. Plenty of times my wife and I have spent a majority of the day wine tasting, only to find out that most of the restaurants were about to close or already closed (7pm seems like the popular closing time).

During the fall (before more stringent shelter-in-place orders were handed down) we took a drive to Calistoga and enjoyed walking around the downtown area. We decided to grab a picnic lunch and stopped at Cal Mart for a deli sandwich. The quality of their cold cuts and fresh breads were top notch and we enjoyed our sandwiches, chips and drinks at a nearby park. We would definitely go back when we are in the area.

Every time I go camping, I always search out a small town market to service me with supplies and quality food. This place fit the bill for a few days trip. It is definitely on the gourmet side, which fits my taste. It is clean and well stocked. Here are my observations:

+Even for a more gourmet selection, the prices are not over-the-top.
+Cheese section is abnormally large by ratio of the store. The store is half the size of a Whole Foods, but the cheese section here was just as large and represented. I guess they love their cheese in this town lol.

Buy organic eggs at $ 4.49 because its sale on the shelf. Than at the register this marked down item is at $ 6.89. If you don't care thats not a problem but its a consistent business practice and not just a recent one. When you point out the mistake at the register thy make a big fuzz like its your problem, thats ok, because after you are done with ordeal you wish you never went in this place.

I live in Calistoga and am so grateful for this little gourmet grocery store. I would say it is a smidge more expensive than a chain grocery store but not enough to make me stray away.
The selection is amazing for such a small space. The produce and meat are fresh. the bread selection and cheese are fantastic.
But the best part about this store is their ability to handle a crisis. We have had fires, pg&e shutdowns and now coronavirus and the store keeps things in stock and keeps its doors open. I cannot tell you how important that is in our small town. I am thankful everyday when I walk down

There's plenty of parking here which is nice and I appreciate that they have a solid selection of produce, condiments, and other basic shopping needs.

My husband and I visited Calistoga for our mini-moon and visited Cal Mart to pickup snacks while staying at the Solage down the street. Because there are no "chain stores" allowed in the area, Cal Mart was the one grocery store in town we were able to pick up snacks to keep at the hotel.
The stock here is pretty good - you'll find everything you need at a local grocery store and they have some specialty items too - upgraded deli products, cheeses, breads, etc. While a little bit pricier than your usual Safeway, I found Cal Mart to be comparable to my local Sprouts/Bristol Farms

This is a great medium-sized independent grocery store with the added bonus of a deli and self-serve prepared foods area.
They also have a big selection of cold single bottle and can beverages available if you need a quick drink or something to go with your food.
The burritos here are super good. They are freshly made, wrapped in foil with a colorful sticker identifying the ingredients and kept hot in a self serve warming tray. The flour tortilla wrapping my chicken burrito was thin and soft...not really suitable to hold, but easily torn with a complimentary plastic fork. Inside the chicken was
