When you're struggling with something-maybe a specific event, maybe some drain you can't quite name-wading through a series of uncomfortable clinical sessions isn't helpful. Having a candid conversation about what's true for you-what's working in your life and what's not-is. I'm a practicing psychologist in Traverse City, and I tailor counseling services just for you.
Setting aside time to go talk to Charity has been the only thing that has consistently helped me feel confident and in control of my life and my mental health. Even after making so much progress I will look to my time with Charity as my most important tool for continuing mental health. I have been able to find direction and set goals for my life instead of just struggling with my day-to-day responsibilities and feeling lost.

When you're struggling with something-maybe a specific event, maybe some drain you can't quite name-wading through a series of uncomfortable clinical sessions isn't helpful. Having a candid conversation about what's true for you-what's working in your life and what's not-is. That's why my goal is to create a space where you can be exactly who you are and share exactly how you feel.
While I have training and experience working with people of all ages and genders, I am especially passionate about teen therapy and counseling for women. Because my approach to therapy is personal, I strive to relate to you as I am-a wife, a mom, a daughter, a friend, a working woman, a former teen - not as an unknowable clinician.
What I do is apply my 15 years of clinical experience and insight to your particular needs. I question, listen, and let you guide the pace of your progress toward where you want to be-in your day-to-day and in your own head and heart. Everyone feels sad or down sometimes. But if you're feeling a perpetual, persistent grief or unhappiness, you might be struggling with depression.
You don't have to feel numb or paralyzed by fear, or cry in bed day after day to merit therapy. In fact, I'd rather you not suffer alone so long that you reach these points. Although I can certainly help you if you're there, I can also help if you're anywhere on the route. Remember: Feelings of unhappiness, anxiety, dissatisfaction, or frustration mean you're human.
