Everything that Mike shot looked great. I was very happy with the visuals. Everything was captured in a technically sound manner.
I was also impressed with how professional Mike's remote production setup was. It was everything we needed to capture the content. This included his audio cart, lighting setup, and cameras.
Mike also went ahead of time to the shoot site before I was able to make it into town to ensure everything could be captured in the necessary manner.
Overall, our client was really happy, which made my boss happy, which makes me happy.

Mike Buffo was a videographer for my fitness testimonial end of 2020, in Monterey, CA. I felt very comfortable following the few directions Mike led me through to begin. I felt relaxed & confident in front of the screen.
What made it so much easier, even though I memorized the script, was having the teleprompter right there within the face of the camera (IPad) so all I had to do was read the script & it looked as if I was looking directly into the camera.
Mike operated the camera & interviewed me at the same time, which went smoothly in one take, but we did 2 just as backup.

I was looking for a company to help me film and edit a client testimonial for my online fitness coaching program. I'm based in Boise and my client lives close to Monterey.
I'm very hands on with what I do, so I was naturally apprehensive during my search for a production company since I wouldn't be able to meet in person.

Michael Made it Happen for Dance Kids. We gave him a new idea that incorporated Interviews and a narrative about our outreach program to 650 title 1 children who see DKMC Nutcracker Performance for Free. My fiance and I were supposed to marry in April, but due to shelter in place, we were unable to wed. I worked with Michael and Grant at House of 8 Media on two real estate videos in Pebble Beach and Carmel. Within 7 days I had an offer on one of the homes. They did a tremendous job with the interiors, tracking where the light was hitting the walls and features, and getting some really spectacular and unique shots that really showcased each of the homes' unique styles. The exterior drone work was also really incredible, capturing the setting sun and crashing waves, and showing where the homes were located in each of their respective neighborhoods. Their edits of each video were also very good,

With very little advance notice House of 8 Media jumped in to help us create a video when we traveled to Pebble Beach for a meeting. Michael Buffo and his team were incredibly professional. They were early to set-up, creative, patient, good-natured - very easy to work with. The finished product was done before we even got back to Washington, DC and was just what we wanted. Michael Buffo started out as a friend, and transitioned into a videographer shooting a documentary inside the Salinas Valley Prison for our group, The Freedom Within Prison Project. I was impressed with his contractual acumen, the ease at which he guided us into the development of a 1 minute commercial, a 5 minute home page video, and a 10 minute mini-documentary. Michael and Britney are amazing, talented and super cool to work with. They videoed and edited my entire live concert. I'm amazed at the quality of the videos. They are very professional and really understood my vision and were able to execute in a timely manner exactly what I wanted.
