This abridged version of Saint Louis Ballet's The Nutcracker was created for younger audiences and those with limited attention spans. This narrated performance employs the same sets, costumes, special effects, and glorious dancing as the full-length presentations. Ideal for holiday field trips! Classic 107.3 afternoon's host, Tom knows classical music inside and out.
Dress up your beloved pet as a Nutcracker character and you could win tickets to The Nutcracker. Each week, dog and cat lovers from Saint Louis Ballet will select the "winning-est" picture, and award the lucky entrant 4 tickets to The Nutcracker! Snap a shot of your dog or cat in Nutcracker apparel (or a costume appropriate for the ballet!)
Saint Louis Ballet dancers capture the spirit of Valentine's Day every February with contemporary ballets that include critically-acclaimed work as well as world premieres. This year, Old Loves | New Loves does just that. We celebrate an old love with the revival of a favorite - Tom Gold's Oasis. Gold, a long-time dancer with New York City Ballet, was called "a force for good in the ballet world" by The Wall Street Journal.
Due to use of extreme lighting, projections, and flashing in this production, we'd like to alert those with epilepsy or those prone to seizures. Jazzy and fresh - Brian Enos' Alice in Wonderland incorporates a variety of modern and classical dance styles, all set in front of projections by talented former Pixar/DreamWorks artist Luis Grane.
Switzerland in 1980, and receiving a scholarship to study at the School of American Ballet. In 1982, the great George Balanchine invited him to join the New York City Ballet, where he became a principal dancer in 1989. Peter Martins, ballet master-in-chief, created ballets Eight More and Les Gentilhommes for Horiuchi as well.

My daughter loves her ballet class and she absolutely adores Ms Dana! She knows every week which day she gets to go to ballet, and she is always so excited about it. She frequently tells me about how much she loves Ms Dana- my daughter can’t wait to see her and give her a hug every time she goes to class. I’m definitely glad we picked SLB for my daughter!

My daughter started ballet at age 3. Moving on to add jazz, hip-hop & tap as she gotten older. Professional dancers, understanding gifted instructors all the way through performances & recitals. They build up my daughter self-esteem, critique ballet positions as needed which build a positive relationship as she continue her medical degree in college. Thank you for the memories & support! 😊

We are really very lucky to have the treasure that is the Saint Louis Ballet. Relative to the size of St. Louis, the Saint Louis Ballet is a much better program than would normally be in a city of our size.
Led by the amazing director Gen Horiuchi, I have been coming to see their shows for quite a few years now and I am always amazed by the caliber of the dancers' performance. The technical aspects of the shows are also incredibly impressive; everything from the costumes and sets to the consistently high caliber sound and lighting design (courtesy of technical director James Dolan).

As a pianist for the Company I get a rare opportunity to see the dancers "behind the scenes." They are wonderful people and incredible artists, making even their warm-up beautiful. The performances I have seen over the last few years have been of a consistently dazzling quality, bringing me to tears more than once. St. Louis is truly blessed to have this amazing ballet company!
