KWSM was founded to help businesses communicate effectively with their target audience, deepening the relationship, and driving results. We began as a consultancy after our founder, Katie Wagner, retired from her TV news career. Katie knew that the rise of digital tools was changing the way people communicated, and that business owners would need to learn a new language to keep their customers engaged.
Katie spent more than 15 years as a journalist. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism and a B.A. in International Relations, she began her career as an investigative reporter, and then spent a decade as a television and radio news anchor. Katie has worked at CBS, ABC, Fox, CNN and National Public Radio.
We specialize in creating customized digital marketing strategies that help our clients get results. These are some of the tools we use - but every plan is different. The whole team we worked with at KWSM was wonderful to work with! Redoing our website took less time than we would of expected and we always felt that we were a top priority for them. They were incredibly organized, on time and kept communication with us regularly. Anytime we had questions someone was available to answer them and take care of anything that needed to be done quickly. We were so happy with the final website and now that we're on the other side of it they are still providing the same great service as they did before. Would highly recommend working with them!

Katie's team produced several videos to support my marketing campaign. I was looking for a particular 'look and feel' to increase my business's opt-in rates. Her team really delivered on the quality of the videos they agreed to produce. They not only devoted the time to insuring each 'video take' was an improvement over the last but did an amazing job of coaching the emotion out of me onto the videos. The Social Media Boot Camp by Katie and her team was the best training I've ever attended. The information was well-organized and presented clearly. Working with Katie extremely disappointing and a financial disaster. She only made more than ideal promises yet the reality became a BIG ZERO ROI. Katie never took responsibility nor renegotiated finances based on her companies errors and lack of ROI.
I made a big mistake in hiring this social media company, however, I did learn the "red flags" to look out for when hiring my next social media group.

I attended 4 boot camps and am looking forward to the fifth one! I have worked with several independent social media people only to find that so many of them are "wanna be's". Katie Wagner and her team are the real deal when it comes to the knowledge needed to run a successful social media campaign. Taking her social media boot camp will teach you what you need to know to run your own campaigns or what you need to know to make sure your social media people are doing what you are paying them to do! I wish I had taken this boot camp 5 years ago! I would be so much further ahead and
