Wasn't at the motel but the bar has a perfect pulled pork sandwich and drinks were reasonable with no wait time

Okay. I was fortunate enough to get a room in one of the chalets. (Based on some of the other reviews, the chalets appear to be a better choice than the rooms.) It was adorable. Probably not so much for someone really tall because it's small and has the sloped ceilings. Oh, if you're claustrophobic, the bathroom will likely cause a problem as will the tiny shower. Guaranteed the floor will get wet with that.

However, the bed was comfortable, the wall unit a/c worked fine, so did the wi-fi. There are enough tv channels for those preferring that to the outdoors. And speaking of

This place could be a great place to stay but it's tired and in need of some help. AC was not working in the room and even if it was working properly it was under sized.

We stayed here for one night in May 2020 and it was lovely. We arrived late, and it was during the pandemic, so we didn’t meet anyone, but the motel called me and explained the procedure for checking in, and left the key for me. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage right behind the main building, and everything about it was just perfect. Comfortable beds, nice little town to walk around in, and a pretty property. I hope to return someday,

The Hulett Motel was the perfect place for our stay. Nice little town, visiting family. Comfortable beds, I believe they were full-size beds, not Queen as noted in Expedia. Will definitely stay there again.

This place is so cute. Cozy one bedroom cabin, very clean and well kept. The view from our cabin was gorgeous, we saw deer and even a turkey. Very quiet and right in the middle of town. Would highly recommend!

Don't waste your money! Just sleep outside before paying for a room here.
For $120 you get two tiny rooms in the basement with a full size bed in each
Mattresses are horrible!
Air conditioner doesn't cool one room let alone two.
WiFi so slow this is my third attempt to upload this review- crashed twice so I'm using my LTE
Skid strips coming off the bathtub.
Ceiling low and stained. When I asked to see another room I was told I had to pay for it because we have been here for an hour and therefore the room is not sellable without being cleaned I certainly didn't think that this

Loved this place! We were only here for one night, but loved our chalet. When I booked it I thought it might be a little cheesy - not so! Very homey and comfy. The air conditioner was on when we got there and we really appreciated that! Had a microwave, little fridge and a comfy recliner rocker in the room. A small river ran outside our room, and if it had not been raining upon our arrival, it would have been nice to sit in the benches alongside it. VERY reasonably priced, too!

My only constructive feedback would be to have another nightstand and a little brighter lighting in the bathroom.

Every time we come through, we've stayed here and have never been disappointed. Great, friendly staff (and one totally awesome dog). Clean rooms, awesome setting on the river. Whats not to love?!?!

It's a basic, cozy motel with affordable pricing and wall-unit air conditioners.

It's the type of setup where you park right in front of your room. No long, monotonous corridors to wade through.

Staff were very kind, room was great for slumbering. Wall unit was able to keep the room nice in cool while temps outside roared into the 90's.

Would definitely stay here again if I make it back to the Devil's Tower area.

Hulett is a really cute little town. You can walk to most everything from this motel.

Lots of great rustic atmosphere. Right on the river so you can sit outside on the benches and enjoy the great outdoors. The staff was friendly and helpful and their dogs are adorable.

After a long day of driving through South Dakota, visiting all the great stops like Mount Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Monument, and Devil's Tower, what a lovely treat to stop and stay at the Hulett motel.

There were three of us sharing the private log cabin, and it was well worth the money. Charming accommodations, clean, and right in the center of town. Although we arrived too late to dine at the on-site Café, the staff were friendly and courteous, and they help to point us in the direction of other local restaurants which were within walking distance.

With two queen size beds and a full

My favorite hotel on this trip because of the location - right on the Belle Fourche river. Quiet town, comfy stuff, and just down the road from Devils Tower, so if you're lucky you can get carried off by UFOs. Er, actually that would make us the lucky ones wouldn't it?

I visit Hulett frequently for work and this is a great place to stay! The new management is super nice and very friendly. They went out of their way to make my stay as good as it gets! There is also a nice little cafe next door that has a great breakfast and lunch.
