A few years ago, I hired Intown Craftsmen to remodel my bathrooms. Russ Melton guided me on things to do/not do and he and his team made great ideas for my remodels. He suggested places to go and websites to visit to pull together needed so I was in total control of the cost of every item small and large - cabinets, windows, faucets/toilets, towel bars, lighting, mirrors, etc. They pointed me and I ran with it.
While it was overwhelming at times because of the vast amount of product available, Russ and his team made suggestions to help me narrow things down. My house is a mid-20th century ranch

Russ and his business partner were great! After I recently got a home inspection on my new house, there were some things I wanted to get fixed up. Russ came and looked at my garage and told me I'd be better off spending my money on other repairs and renovation projects in the future. He could have given me an estimate and made all that money by fixing what didn't actually need to be fixed, but I trust his advice and am looking forward to getting a new fence put in instead.

Used Intown Craftsman to make repairs on our old deck and screen porch. They replaced several weak deck boards and made important safety improvements to the deck structure. They also repaired some old water damage in the ceiling of our screen porch. Deb in their office was great to work with, she went out of her way to keep us informed as the repair work was completed.

STAY AWAY! It was just an awful experience. You will notice there are not many new reviews on here, I think Russ has shifted to roof work. I could write a book about all of the stress that working with this company caused me and my wife. By the time we finished our project, I was the general contractor and I worked with the city for all of the final permitting and directly with subcontractors to pay them. Several of the subcontractors threatened liens against our house due to non-payment, and one pulled their permit with the city due to non-payment. I found that out after construction was complete

I had InTown work on a few different projects while renovating my Brookhaven house, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Their were some complications, but Russ (the owner) was fair, and I can't say enough good things about Deb who works in their office. She was an absolute saint who went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience with Intown. I'd recommend them to anyone!

Even though my job was not a good fit for Intown Craftsmen, Russ was very helpful in discussing other options that would work better for my situation. I appreciate his honesty and not trying to sell me services that would not be financially beneficial to me. His knowledge and willingness to assist someone that would not be his client, is unheard of in this industry. I will definitely call on Russ when I have a project more suitable.

I had a very positive experience with Intown Craftsman for our roof repair. All emails or phone calls were followed promptly with a response from Deb--she was knowledgeable and eager to assist us. The repair itself was smooth and much easier than I had expected. Best of all, the cost was 1/3 of what was quoted by other companies. I really appreciate their work.

I have worked with Intown Craftsmen for years as they were my "go to" team when my house was a rental. They were always professional, worked with my tenants and got the job done the first time. So, when it was time to renovate my home to sell, I naturally called Intown Craftsmen.
I was looking for an extensive renovation: new floors in kitchen, new backsplash, painted cabinets, entire house painted inside and out, full bathroom renovation, newly stained floors and a new floor installed upstairs. To add to the complexity, it was done remotely as I was not living in the area at the time of the renovation

After dealing with Intown Craftsmen, I've reached the unavoidable conclusion they must be a front for a drug cartel. Why? Well, grab a seat, let me tell you. I was interviewing contractors for a water damage job in my house. Deborah, who answers the phone, explained to me how they do high quality work with high quality materials, how they are very expensive, probably out of my budget expensive, how my insurance company probably won't cover their cost. In spite of that, I persisted and asked that they send somebody to take a look. They took two extra weeks than the other companies to send

I hired Russ, and Intown Craftsmen, to repair a good bit of termite damage in my house, and to make matters worse, it was on a load bearing wall joist. Every other company I spoke to said that the upstairs walls and floors would probably crack, since the floor had to be jacked up. Not only did Intown Craftsmen repair the damage very well, but they were so careful with the jacks, that there wasn't a speck of damage on the upper floors. They did a great job on the repairs, and even with the clean up as well. I *highly* recommend Intown Craftsmen for your easy or tough projects!
