While it's easy to screen for hearing or vision problems, it isn't always as easy or straightforward to screen for certain developmental or behavioral disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This is because there is no simple blood test that we can perform to provide a definitive diagnosis.
Meadows Medical Center follows the immunization guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). One health matter that parents of young school-aged children should be concerned with is keeping up with immunization schedules. Due to their young immune systems, children of a certain age (up to about age 12) are more vulnerable to viruses and medical concerns compared to adults.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Stewart's for going on 4 years now and we are so grateful to have found her. In the past we have had providers who seemed to always be in a hurry to get to the next room, the next patient etc. As the parent of a chronically ill child, I was always ill at ease with this treatment because I felt like she was not receiving proper care.
Dr. Stewart is the complete opposite. I can always count on her to spend quality time properly assessing my child and answering any questions we may have. In cases of emergency, she has consistently made herself available to supervise
