Modeled on the traditional European design: a baking compartment above, a firebox in the center, and wood storage below, designer Bent Falk created the first stoves in the late 1960s.

My wife and I purchased a Rais wood burning stove from Wittus more than 20 years ago, and it continues to be a terrific addition to our home. Their selection of stylish, well-crafted, and efficient stoves was excellent and delivery was as promised. When we shop for the next (additional) stove, this is the place to which we'll go.

Unreliable is an understatement. I ordered tools for my fireplace in October as a Christmas gift. Needless to say it is the end of Feb and they still have not arrived. I had to chase them after every deadline came and went. Seems their manufacturer is in Italy so they blame everything on customs. In the end I had to cancel my order.

By far, the worst experience I have had with any vendor/contractor. No follow up, had to chase them down every step of the way to come give me an estimate for a fireplace after I made a trip to their showroom! Unprofessional, unreliable, and unacceptable attitude for a business that deals in high end fireplaces.
