Negative star review. - 5 stars
The woman who "helped" me was so rude and utterly did not care about my business. I paid in advance, and have nothing. I sent a check in the MAIL (they do NOT accept credit cards or phone orders) and bought a part. Also I paid $12. shipping (and I am within 75 miles of them) and it has never come. They don't care. They will not follow up with the post office to get insurance and get the package found. I have tried but to no avail.

We have a 25 year old Jenn Air 5 burner stove that the burners saw the age of time. The enamel was chipping off, and it was just getting ugly.

Scouted about for vendors that did re-enameling (locally SoCal) and found Antique Gas Stoves in Ranch Cucamonga. Email and call if they could do the work, plus sent a PowerPoint on what was involved. Next day they replied back on the job, cost, forms, and turn around time..... done deal for me. Payment was easy, they use PayPal.

Today we got them back in black..... WOW! Good as new, and back in action. Couldn't be anymore pleased. Wifey was without

I emailed this company because, after some research, I was almost certain I needed my thermostat rebuilt so I was looking to get a cost estimate. Terri replied promptly and suggested I check a couple other things before doing the rebuild. Her advice saved the day and I was able to make the simple repair myself. Now my wife can bake again. She saved us some major dough! (Baking pun completely justified). Thanks Terri! I would highly recommend.

I love this company! Calling them for service or advice on an old gas stove is like taking a trip back to the time when Americans cared about service and really knew what they were talking about I don't know her name, but the lady who answers the phone at this company can and will give you advice on how to operate and repair your vintage stove, she doesn't begrudge the time, doesn't try to sell you something you don't need, she's just down to earth and willing to help a stranger (like me, with a '57 Okeefe and Merritt.) Thank you Kind Lady at Antique Gas Stoves,

I had the displeasure of speaking to a bore of a woman. This extremely unhappy woman must not like her job very much. She was completely unhelpful and resoundingly rude. This business is fast going down the tubes with someone like that answering the phones. Plenty of far better places such as: Marsha at savon appliances, Carolina appliances, etc... Don't waste your time with this miserable idiot.

Had a regular stove repair guy come out to look at our 1940s O'Keefe and Merritt oven, which wasn't lighting. He thought a new thermostat was needed and provided the contact info of Antique Gas Stoves. The woman who answered the phone was warm and friendly. While she told me that they don't do house calls, she walked me through the same process as another Yelper here: to test the red button (in my case) under the griddle. It worked! She was so helpful and spent several minutes on the phone with me even though there was no % in it for her or the company. I'll be trusting any

I just called and asked fundamental basic questions about porcelain coating. The lady who answered my call was very short and rude. I don't care how good of a place this is, or how cheap, don't take your product here or do business with them. I never do business with rude people with poor customer service skills. Its a reflection of their work and business character. Bad ethics, you won't survive. Just look at all the one star reviews below and you will read exactly my same comments. HORRIBLE!

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I don't know how a company exists with the customer service I just received.
To the woman who answered the phone. Find something you love to do and go do it because no one should be as miserable as you are. You hold that power. Go find it. Peace.

WOW!!
Those of you who wrote in and called the 'women' who answered the phone a lady were way off base.
This was my second time dealing with this person. I can't figure out how they stay in business. She must be the wife or the mother and runs everyone who works at the shop. I tried almost a year ago to get information about buying an O'Keefe and Merritt stove. Not only did she inform me that the wait was at least a year and a half out and that wasn't any guarantee. She acted like she was doing me a favor instead of me buying something from them. I asked about prices

No way am I going to reward this place with my business. I called yesterday and the lady who answered the phone provided one-word, one-syllable answers to my questions. Very rude, definitely not someone you want dealing with the public. I'll find somewhere else, thank you.

This is a rare breed of company. Two years ago, I called Antique Gas Stoves, (909) 484-2222 to set up an appointment for my O'Keefe & Merritt stove. The broilers wouldn't light.

The nice lady that answered the phone was very knowledgeable, and kind enough to have me try a couple of things, they lit right up... fixed it over the phone for FREE.

I still need to do what she showed me a couple times a year, ( takes less than a minute ) but every time I have to do it... I think about her kindness and generous spirit .

Give them a call.

We had an older Wolf range partially restored elsewhere earlier this year but a few elements really needed cosmetic updating beyond the basics we initially performed. In talking with Terri, she was really helpful in discussing options to re-enamel the burner heads so we sent them off. They were returned in just a few weeks and literally looked like new! Based on the level of quality and responsiveness we next sent in the three large burner trays that make up the entire top of this large range. Once again the quality and responsiveness met or exceeded our expectations. I realize there are other

I sent an email to the email address listed on their website after I placed a call last week and spoke to a very abrupt, almost rude woman to see if they could assist me in determining my make/model/year on my O'Keefe and Merritt stove I recently purchased, which I presumed was early 1950's). She advised me to send a picture and they could help me figure it out. She hung up without a good bye. Great! So today I send 3 pictures of my beautiful stove and a description of what I was hoping to find out... Only to get a return email an hour later literally reading:

I called to get prices for some restoration work on a 50's vintage Wedgewood that's been in the family since it was new. The woman I spoke with was abrupt and rude, and did not listen to the questions I asked. I had to re-state my questions several times before she responded with an answer. Eventually I gave up and emailed my questions instead. I ended up sending a couple of small pieces to be re-chromed and a couple of small pieces to be re-porcelain coated. The chrome work looks good, the porcelain work has bubbles and tiny fish eyes, also when comparing my before and after pictures

I experienced the same rude behavior and phone call hang ups as most of the other reviews talk about on several occasions, but had an even worse experience.
I sent a Magic Chef stove top to them to be re-porcelained. When I finally got it back it was warped beyond usefulness, resulting in my having to purchase a new stove. When I inquired if they would compensate me for the value of my old, now ruined stove, the response was 'certainly not, we did the work so we're out the time and you're out the money'. I filed a small claims court case against them and received a judgment

Truly shocking customer service. I called twice -- as a potential customer -- to ask questions about O'Keefe and Merritt, and the woman answering the phone was curt and dismissive then hung up without saying goodbye.
Wow. Very glad to have found someone near Riverside selling and refurbishing. It was worth the drive from LA!
Amazing that these folks seem so willing to drive their business into the ground.

I recently called inquiring about what colors were available to restore a stove and the next thing I know I'm getting hung up on?! It was so bad it was comical!! I had to call back to make sure I wasn't hallucinating! After reading the other reviews I clearly wasn't! By the way, on their website they now list their P.O. Box being located in Alta Loma.
