Jon began his career with Stifel, Nicolas in Cincinnati Ohio over 16 years ago as a stockbroker. He knew that he would enjoy the world of finance much more if he could find a more client-focused approach to offering financial advice and began an exhaustive search for a more suitable firm.

Having interviewed with the likes of Merrill Lynch, AG Edwards, Edward Jones, Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley, and AXA Advisors, Jon finally settled on Summit Financial Group of Cincinnati.In the fall of 2002, Jon was transferred to Lafayette, IN to operate a newly acquired financial planning firm. In the 5 years under his management, the firm grew an average of 70% per year in accounts and assets under management.
