We have seven quality built deluxe rental cabins which will sleep up to seven. All cabin rentals have full kitchens, gas fireplaces, air conditioning, flat screen T.V.'s (direct T.V.), covered decks with gas barbeques and wireless internet service! On site we have hot tubs, horseshoe pits, fire pits, two stocked fishing ponds, daily guided horseback rides, and direct access to the Salt River.
Services
These cabins are furnished with a queen size bed in the downstairs bedroom, a queen size sofa sleeper in the front room and two queen beds in the loft. The kitchens are fully equipped with refrigerator, range, full size sink, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and all basic cooking and eating utensils.
You can almost cast from your cabin! Our southern property gate accesses 400 acres of prime water on the Salt River for nearly a mile up stream. We also have an onsite boat ramp to access the Salt. Three miles downstream is the convergence of the Greys, Snake, and Salt River. All of these rivers have first class trout fishing.
The ranch location on the Salt River provides wade fly fishing right out our back gate. Below is listed some of the best local trout fishing spots with a distance and summary of each. Since 2004 we have been building, stocking, and improving our onsite fishing ponds and springs. Cutthroat, brown, rainbow, and brook trout all can all be caught on or within 1/4 mile of our ranch location.
Specializing in Guided Fly Fishing Trips on the Salt River and Star Valley-Alpine Wyoming Area Trout Waters. I'm Rob Meikle owner and guide of Rockin' M Ranch and Fly-Fishing Outfitters. I started my fly-fishing guiding career on the Snake River in Jackson Hole in 1993. The 2019 summer marks my 27th year of fly fish guiding on our local rivers.
Over the years the Rockin' M Ranch has become a well kept secret for the self guided, (D.I.Y.), do it yourself hunter. Our unique location in Wyoming and less than a mile from the Idaho border makes us the perfect location for the Idaho or Wyoming self guided hunter. For the Idaho hunter we are within a mile of unit 66a, the "Diamond Creek Area" and less than 6 miles from unit 66 and 67.

Did a 2 hour loop with Tassie. Absolutely stunning fall foliage and really fun trail (steeps, multiple river crossings, etc.) The horses were really well behaved (we had zero horse experience) Great to support a local family taking such good care of a beautiful spot, highly recommended!

I am a very novice rider with a slight fear of horses Lexie matched me with a gentle giant Buddy who was perfect for me. The ride was so enjoyable with scenic views and great river crossings. We did the 3 hour ride with lunch provided. Not only was she a great trail guide but the burgers were perfectly done. I would recommend Rocking M Ranch to anyone.

Stunning views and comfortable cabins. Very clean and the cabins had great access to the river! The only thing we were skeptical about was the.. questionable treatment of the horses at times. But, we had a wonderful stay regardless and would come back again!

I had such a great time horseback riding at Rockin' M Ranch. We did the river ride which was truly stunning and gorgeous. The trail ride was scenic, relaxing, and quiet. My guide Blake was very friendly and knowledgable. He knew everything about the area, and the horses. My biggest takeaway is that I am from Colorado and have done some horseback riding there, but Rockin' M Ranch does it 10x better. Good job guys next time we are in town we will definitely be going back.

My kids loved it. The staff was helpful, the horses were great, trail was good. Not the prettiest ride I've ever been on, as a good portion of it parallels the neighboring roads. We finished the ride crossing several streams, which my kids loved. I'm sure my family would enjoy going back for a third time.

So we are at the emergency room now, after my dad fell off a horse on a trail ride guided by Cassie of Rocking' M Ranch this morning. I understand there are inherent risks associated with this activity, but I just want to say that I was not impressed with how this business family handled the critical situation that arose, and forewarn all other horse-loving tourists! First of all, there should have been more than one guide being responsible for eight novice riders. Every trail ride I have ever been on entails a leader at the front and back to monitor for common concerns like saddles slipping off
