Services
Just as it's important to have your physical body checked by your primary care provider, it is also important to have your mental health checked as well. Our psychiatric providers will perform an initial appointment similar to what a primary care provider might do. This checkup, called an assessment, includes an overview of your symptoms and a determination of whether or not medication is a good option in the treatment of your mental health.
If you are in a crisis situation or medical emergency that cannot wait for a return call from St. Simons Psychiatry, or you are uncertain, please go to your nearest Emergency Department (ER), or call 911. Another option is to contact Georgia Crisis and Access Line at 1-800-715-4225, available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

I moved down to St Simons past year from out of state, and I began seeing Dr. Chapman as my first attempt at seeking a new psychiatrist to assist with managing my medication. I was pleased to discover that Dr. Chapman was the most professional mental health professional that I have had the privilege to interact with. This practice as a whole takes excellent care of their patients. They are kind, understanding, professional, discreet, and ultimately the obvious choice for any mental healthcare needs in the golden isles.

This psychiatrist plays around like a game with the doses with your medication without even showing you any courtesy in telling you. It’s all by surprise and never discussion and she has the ego as high as anyone I’ve ever met. Currently looking into a malpractice claim against her. You shouldn’t change peoples medications without at least telling them. Period.
