Services
While our specialties lie in Neuromuscular and Deep Tissue Massage, Moore Massage therapists employ a variety of massage therapy techniques to suite our clients. The most common form of massage therapy, Swedish Massage employs long, flowing strokes to induce a much needed state of relaxation. A manual reset button, a Swedish Massage session allows you to escape and relax while still receiving many of the benefits massage therapy has to offer.
Neuromuscular massage can be ideal for a number of individuals, including those suffering from long term, chronic pain who have received little to no relief from medications, those with unidentified sources of pain, athletes who push themselves to continuously maintain peak performance standards, individuals seeking injury relief, and those currently receiving treatment from chiropractors and physical therapists to name a few.
Mel Moore, founder of Moore Massage, received his massage training at Southeastern Institute in Charleston, South Carolina. Rather than focusing on the symptoms his clients experience, Mel focuses on targeting the underlying cause of their pain issues. Mel was first introduced to the therapeutic aspects of massage therapy through his wife.
We know that a referral or recommendation to Moore Massage is the best form of publicity that any company can receive and we're no different. Take a look below at the kind words that some of our clients have sent us regarding our services. We're very thankful for our clients and would not be in business without them.

Our family vacations at the isle of palms every year and I schedule a massage every year with Mel. He looks so forward to it. He identifies the areas that need the most attention but also gives the rest of his body the help it needs too. Would definitely recommend!!

Mel was recommended to me by my chiropractor, I've been having a lot of trouble with my hip flexor, and my neck, turns out my pelvis refuses to stay level. After several visits to the chiropractor he suggested massage therapy could be a huge help to get me straight again. Mel is not your typical massage therapist, his goal is to stop your pain, not just to give you a nice rub down. He was great at showing me the trigger points on the body and where the pain was originating from. He did a lot of pressure point work. My muscles are ridiculously tight, so one visit isn't going to fix

I've had many a therapeutic massage over the years, and when I found myself heading towards a frozen shoulder I was referred to Mel. And from the first moment he began I knew it was going to hurt so good! (if you've ever had a deep tissue massage you know what I'm talking about!) And that is exactly what was needed to free up my shoulder. Mel is very well trained in anatomy and is able to isolate each muscle and apply just the right amount of pressure. His knowledge of how muscles, tendons and ligaments work together, especially for joint issues, makes him exceptional at what he does. And now I

Mel is fabulous! I visited him having had varying success/relief from massage and physical therapy, including some of the more well-known massage chains. I haven't had the range of motion or pain relief like this in years, and it started after the very first session. Mel is very professional and wants you to get better - there's no sense of only wanting your money and then getting you in/out as quickly as possible. He offers package deals and single visits, so you're not bound by any contract. I can't speak highly enough of him and recommend him to anyone looking for a relaxing massage to pain

I really like Moore Massage. I've been going to Mel for about 5-6 months now, about twice a month and i always leave feeling better. I really like deep tissue/sport massages and he really works your muscles in ways that try to heal you vs. just feeling better when you leave. Which you do feel better when you leave! But your body is also healing too. Mel is also just a nice guy. Highly recommend!

Mel is great. Not pushy. Knows his stuff. I like his no-nonsense massage room. I don't go for relaxation, I go to fix musculature issues, so I don't want to pay for all the dim lights, candles and relaxing music (although that is nice and he does have some of that). I'm a personal trainer and recommend Mel to any client and/or random person that asks!
If you have a muscular injury, and foam rolling, SMR, stretching, resting, isn't helping...seek out Mel.

I have a lot of structural/muscular issues due to scoliosis and spinal fusion. While visiting Charleston SC for a few months, I was concerned about being able to find a knowledgable, skilled massage therapist who would be able to address my extreme tightness as well as my massage therapist does back home. It had been about 3 months since my last massage, and I was a mess. Mel Moore met the challenge! He totally got what was wrong and how to make it right. For 90 minutes, he released all the muscles in the left shoulder and right hip and generally undid all the damage I'd been doing by working

Flippin fantastic massage. honestly one of the best I have ever had. I got a gift certificate from a charitable auction for a 60 min. massage. I held onto it for a while. one day I injured my neck and shoulder while out of town. three weeks, two chiropractor appointments, and one massage appointment later, I was still not much better off. I decided to use the voucher and pay a little extra for a 90 min. massage. it was a true therapeutic massage. I was sore the next day... not in a bad way though. two days later I was good as new. hos rates are excellent for the quality. I found my new go to guy
