Relationships are an important part of everyone's life. How we connect with the most important people in our life is important to our sense of self and well-being. Interpersonal issues can damage those connections. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy can help identify those issues and help you to restore your connections to those who matter most to you.
Isolation is not the same as being alone. For a variety of reasons, a person may choose to be alone. Isolation, however, is a sense of loneliness that arises, whether you're alone or with others. Self-evaluation of your intrinsic worth determines your level of self-esteem. Your particular self-assessment determines how you deal with different situations in your life. Low self-esteem handicaps your ability to deal with a situation because your belief about the outcome is already negative. This perception continues to affect how you cope with the many difficult situations that you will come across in life.
