Jack Pensa's father, August Pensa, was born in Naples in 1901 and immigrated to the US in 1902 with his parents and family.
Proud of his American status but too young to serve in World War I, August joined the National Guard in 1919 to serve his country. August stayed active with the Guard until 1945 and attained the rank of Master Sergeant. August married at the age of 18. He and his wife Julia had three children-Jack, Julie, and Barbara.

They moved me from fort lee nj to Franklin storage in Franklin. See attached photo my boxes marked fragile are on the bottom right. I moved to iowa and was told by pensa they aren't responsible for damages since another company moved me even though I called the less than a month after move to Franklin and told dennis that they put boxes on top of my boxes marked fragile. A lot of my belongings I have had for forty years are destroyed thanks to pensa. I went on the second movers truck and saw all my fragile boxes on top of load Not bottom like pensa did. Pensa Mover drank my vodka in the morning

When I first contacted Louis from APensa, he was very upfront about everything. He explained the process of what we would need and even offered to work with our respective leasing agents to facilitate any paperwork they needed.
We booked a time to review our place and give an overall estimate. He was prompt, courteous and wearing a mask! He gave us a very reasonable quote and offered his assistance getting us in touch with the city for our traffic requirement.
The day of the move, his team was a little delayed (30 minutes) but this was because of the snowstorm just 2 days before. Once they arrived

It took 6 attempts to finally secure their services, due to the increased volume in their business. Terrific crew lead by Kevin and Mike. These are real pros who will handle your stuff with care. After a horrible experience with another mover (who claimed to have the right insurance, but didn't), pay the extra to have A Pensa get the job done right, and ahead of schedule.

Absolutely topnotch moving company. We used them to move some very old and very fragile antique items....personnel were highly professional, friendly and quite attentive to our needs. They handled the items with great care and delivered them on schedule without a hitch. We highly recommend this company.

Lou the owner, has the most awesome men, Mike, Bo, Glen, Carlito, Grandpa Butch, working for him. Our packing day on Thursday went absolutely smooth. The delivery on Friday was simply great. Everything was wrapped and cared for as if there own. Even my ceramic Dog planter. And live plants make it. I highly recommend this company for your moving needs. Thank You all again for helping us make our transition perfect.

Lou and his crew were careful, methodical, deliberate, and fast with their service. During the Thanksgiving holiday window they picked up several roomfuls of furniture and art from my Grandma's house in New Jersey and delivered the property to Virginia without leaving behind damage or packaging.
As I am active duty in the USN, it is difficult to coordinate with service providers during g work hours. Lou and his guys met me on a Saturday morning. They delivered a truckload of furniture in just a couple hours. As an added challenge

Moved with Pensa in August 2019. My third move in three years. The only thing I can say is: why did I not find them earlier? These guys are A+. They showed up as promised on time, ready to go. Moved us extremely efficiently - most efficient crew I have seen. Unloading was just as quick and professional. It was a big move (3 bedroom into a house) and we were all wrapped by 4pm. They took great care of our belongings and really made an effort to preserve our new home. Their service is great too - no rudeness, good and thoughtful questions to make the experience as painless as possible.

I used A Pensa movers when my Mom passed away. They were careful moving her very precious items, courteous, on time and on budget. Louis gave me his cell phone, so he could always be reached. They were honest and I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly. His crew had been together for a long time and worked well together. Everything arrived in perfect condition. Items that needed to be taken apart for transport was also put back together carefully and were in perfect condition.

My girlfriend and I made 2 moves into the same apartment in Hoboken from both in and out of Hoboken. She had used Pensa Modern Movers in the past and had a good experience. I did the estimates with Lou Pensa and I supervised both moving days. And I cannot say enough about how professional and thorough and thoughtful all of the guys were. Between Amy the office manager, to Butch the foreman, to Wayne and Bo and all the movers, everyone was awesome. I will call Pensa the next time we move. No questions asked. Thanks Lou!
