How is this credit union still alive and running? I signed up for them and received my card. I added money into the account and a few days later they denied all transaction. I later called them and they told me they closed my account because I didn't send them my ID in a email that I never received ? Like...What!? I clearly gave my ID to even open the account for both checking and savings account. So they sent me a paper check in the mail. I left from a decent bank thinking credit unions would be good, but "booooyy" did this put a nasty taste in my mouth. Bright star get your stuff

I am very disappointed that I have to write this review. I have been a member of Brightstar Credit Union not only for my personal accounts but also my business accounts. I have financed vehicles and have had credit cards for over 7 years. I have referred many of my own personal clients to Brightstar. I am very upset I've had several problems with my accounts and no one has been able to assist me or even had the decency to contact me back. The customer service and quality of the assistance has greatly deteriorated. There is a lack of communication between the members and the Credit Union. Yes

-30 million stars! Even one star is too much. This organization is not so great. Their ATMs are routinely not working. Did a cash deposit at one where the ATM just popped out my card after I put the cash in and went to the welcome screen. That screwed up everything bc it was a Friday evening after the branch had closed. I had to wait till the following Monday and it took two more days still to straighten it out. During all that time, 10 payments went through causing overdraft fees, and they put them through largest to smallest in order to maximize overdraft fees, which came to $340 and I really

Credit Unions are owned by the people, then why aren't the rules and fees made for the people's benefit ? We might as well move our money to CHASE ! No grace periods, no payment of bills when your checking is $1 short. I waited 45 mins today on the phone to see why my car payment was declined ... I was sixty cents short. But I have a large balance in my Savings. BrightStar your rules need to be FOR the PEOPLE!

I went in because I was having problems with my ATM card. I come to find out that the credit the card that I had was the old one and that I had already gotten the replacement which was the one that I needed to use
They were nice enough to let me know what the problem was. And then I took some money out. They tried to get me to sign up for one of their credit cards because of all the benefits that it had however, the cards that I used are used for points for hotels and Airlines so their card was not needed.
Is this a good location, there is a lot of construction going on, so hopefully after that

The bill pay is lacking, they just mail the check. No 24 hr customer service. It is hard for some reason to get the debit card Expect many calls, and a month or more to receive it. Other than that, I cannot complain. I do not see greener pastures on the lawns of any other banking institutions. I have been with them for 10 years.

Brightstar talks a good game, but when my account was hacked they did not back me up or provide any credit because they said the fraud was not noticed by me in time? The site they control was hacked and they would not assist me. Don't bank here, and certainly don't use the online banking because they won't protect you. Rates weren't great and the customer service particularly in Lauderhill is atrocious.

This company had my information pawned off to them to which they continued to give away they hit my credit 4 times with hard hit inquiries making it almost impossible for me to get a good mortgage interest rate horrible company, ghetto employees as well when I called to complain asking who gave them authority to run my credit the man passes the phone off to a "manager" which was never really one. Thanks a lot.

This place has very friendly staff and offers a nice free checking account. The wait time is reasonable, and the place is conveniently located by I-595 and Broward College. This is a great place to do business to avoid the banking fees the big banks are now charging regularly. I highly recommend this credit union.
