First off let me start by saying that the guy who owns this is a joke. Our teenage son who is very respectful to adults, cause he was raised that way, him and his friends made the decision this morning NOT to go back across the lake because of the wind, smart decision in my book, went to the boat landing there and had someone bring their truck… there to load the boat. The owner stopped them and made them pay 10.00 ramp fee, OK I get it yes businesses need to make money, however when it's this type of situation come on. They WOULD NOT let our teenagers load the boat period. My son tried to

During the last week of Dec. 2011 I stayed 3 night CKR&M for a decompression time before meeting up with my husband in VA. Bch. to finally go back home to NY.
I had left my home in NY to help my Father and Stepmom in Florida after my Dad was diagnosed with mesothelioma lung cancer. A few weeks long trip lasted from Feb 2011 til Dec 2011. My Dad ultimately died in Oct 2011 and my Mom who lived alone within the same town had broken her hip. If you have parents in their 70's you understand that caregiving roles switch to children caring for their aging parents.

Avoid if possible. Owner has a reputation of being a hot head. Cabins are actually trailers with little or no housekeeping. They charge a $150 cleaning fee and pocket the money. I walked through three units, The majority had dead bugs and uncleaned furniture/appliances. The unit selected was the "cleanest", still had dead bugs, dirty appliances and sticky floors. Also there's no internet access, you have to purchase a hotspot device and a monthly subscription, approx. $300 for a unit and $50/ month for data. Moving out at the earliest possible opportunity.

My husband and his fishing buddy just got home today from the best trip they have had in years. The cabin was just right for them. The owners could not have been nicer. Captain Brandon was highly recommended and we would recommend him to anyone who asked about his expertise and experience. Will be going back for sure

DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE. I have been traveling in our 5th wheel camper nearly full time for 6 years now and have never been treated so badly as I was by the owner of this campground. We have stayed here on several occasions, as recently as 3 months ago, because the lots are large and the campground feels very safe. Last night we pulled in and set… up, as is usual when we come to this campground. It has never ever been a problem that we have children. My husband was at work today and the owner came and banged loudly several times on the door, I answered and was immediately met with &ldquo

We needed a getaway, so instead of spend money on therapy, I took my sister to this wonderful piece of Heaven on earth for her birthday. Even the attendants, Mrs. Virginia and Ms. Johnnie were like angels assisting us in every way possible. I will admit after reading a couple of reviews before renting the cabin, I was a little hesitant to meet Mr. Bell, the owner. He was portrayed as a very hostile man but after meeting him, concluded that he was a fine gentleman with a heart of gold. He helped me make my sister’s birthday the best it could be by doing some very kind gestures. At the same time

So first I have to say that the ladies in the office are lovely and helpful. The cabins are cute and it's nice having a grill and a porch swing. There is a ton of potential. Now, the reason for 1 star, the owner went into a rant when my husband asked if the store sold cigarettes, I get smoking in the cabin of course, but lecturing your guests is bad form. The beds were horribly uncomfortable, you could feel every spring in the mattress. There was a cockroach problem. You could only shower comfortably if you were under 5ft 2. You have to clean your own cabin before you leave or the charge you a

We stayed in a cabin over 4th of July weekend. Never did we have hot water in our cabin and the sliding door didn’t lock what so ever. We went to the office concerning the issues and nothing was done. Maintenance came out finally after the second time of complaining basically told us there was nothing they could do while we were there because the hot water heater was inside that cabin. So 2 adults and 5 children with no hot water for showers was an awful situation. Luckily we had family down there that were also staying and was able to shower at their cabin. The place was fairly clean. Make sure

Everything terrible. very rude owner. made us feel very uncomfortable. told a veteran he couldn't have his registered service dog and didn't care what he needed the dog for. told my children they couldn't play there. we left immediately. and if you tried to ask why he was so rude he said he didn't need our money.

This place doesn’t even deserve a star! Absolutely horrible man running this place. Racist, anti-military, anti-children POS! Refused to honor our reservation because it was through a 3rd party. Absolutely zero customer service to where we felt uncomfortable even being on the premises. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my own worst enemy!

Great ESCAPE~ We visited during Labor Day weekend. Very comfortable cabin, plenty of space, very friendly people, about 13-15 minutes to grocery store, restaurants, whatever you need. We rented a pontoon boat and we visited a nearby restaurant The Lake House. Pulled the boat right up and went to eat. Very nice setup. My kids did wish the pontoon would go faster :) We have visited Santee several times and this is a nice off the beaten path relaxing location with very friendly people. Put a small restaurant on site and it would be absolutely perfect! Thank you from the Ray Family!
