TanForLess started in a corner of Galesburg Electric/Industrial Supply Inc., a 3rd generation family owned electrical business in Galesburg, Illinois founded in 1953. A demand for tanning bed bulbs grew and led to offering tanning beds and tanning lotions/supplies. In 1998 TanForLess' website was up and shipping worldwide.

Good skin health translates to real beauty, and to keep your complexion and the skin on your body -supple and youthful, it's important to have a healthy skin care routine to go along with your tanning regimen. Only through proper skin care can you fight signs of aging, prevent damage and have a radiant glow to go with your beautiful tan.
When sunless tanning first arrived on the scene more than 50 years ago, the lack of serious research in the field of skin care greatly limited the effectiveness of self-tanning formulas. Back then, men and women could resign themselves to having unnatural orange skin, resort to regular tanning or live with pale, white skin.
It's no secret that a sunburn can be seriously painful, but exposing your skin to the sun outdoors without any protection can have even scarier consequences than the uncomfortable sting of lobster red skin. In addition to the UVB rays that bake the outer layer of skin and cause it to become inflamed or burned, natural sunlight also contains UVA rays, which penetrate the outer covering of your epidermis and reach the middle layers of skin.

I LOVE this place!! They have the hottest tanning beds in town! They keep their beds really clean, which is awesome. What an incredible selection of tanning lotions and tanning essentials, too. The staff is super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable as well. I won't go anywhere else.

Let me start by saying i was looking for tanning supplies at about 1am on a monday. I came across this website seen their prices! and couldn’t wait till morning to order.
Then i woke up to see my order had already been confirmed and shipped! I’ve been shopping online for a pretty long time. I’ve never seen this happen before. I mean how awesome is that!
Two days later my order was on the doorstep. If that wasn’t amazing enough, the care that went into packaging was better than i’ve ever seen! All of my different

The owner of the business was there and he helped me find the right lotion I was looking for. Because I drove to his place from out of town he even let me tan for no charge to try out his beds. Super nice and friendly will definitely be going back for my tanning lotion needs.

I like to try different lotions and I’ve never ordered them online, so I placed a small order to test out tanforless before placing more/larger orders. It’s been a terrible experience and I won’t order from them again.
I strongly advise against them.
Whoever takes care of their online customer service is one of the rudest people(or rudest group of people).

First time ordering from this company, I received two bottles of tanning lotion. Neither bottle was safety sealed. One bottle actually had Scotch tape over the top of it and was only filled 3/4 of the way up. I contacted the company via email to discuss the issue, I never once received an apology. All I was told was, we are not the manufacturer. They did not offer to replace my product or make it right in any way. I mentioned an apology two different times and never received one.
