Highlands-Eldorado Veterinary Hospital
Highlands-Eldorado Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary practice that offers a wide variety of clinical services and boarding accommodations for the benefit of our furry friends. These services include surgeries such as spay/neuter and ACL repair; wellness services such as vaccinations, dentistry, and parasite prevention; and therapies such as laser therapy.

Our practice owner, Dr. Wesley Taylor, has over 20 years of experience as a veterinarian in the North Texas area. Over the years, Dr. Taylor and his team of veterinary professionals have organized Highlands-Eldorado Veterinary Hospital to be family-run, community-oriented, and compassion-centered. Our entire veterinary team, from office staff to veterinarians, has one thing in common- we love animals!
Services
This means that our hospital has been in operation for almost 20 years under continuous management. Over the years we have gained much experience in both the science of veterinary medicine, and the art of customer service. We have grown from a small two-person operation to a 13-person staff with two veterinary doctors.
Annual wellness exams are highly encouraged by virtually all members of the veterinary community, because they are paramount for long-term health in pets. Having regular check-ups allows your veterinarian to catch potential health issues, such as disease or pain at their earliest stages when they are most treatable.
Vaccinations provide the best defense against many potentially fatal diseases. With their advent, both the human medicine and veterinary medicine worlds saw a revolution in the ability to prevent millions of deaths that could have been caused by contagious diseases. Vaccinations prevent disease by exposing the immune system to a small, safe, and controlled dose of the particular threat.
Parasites such as fleas, ticks, intestinal worms, and heartworms are some of the most common afflictions that pets suffer from. They can cause pain, sickness, and even death in pets, and zoonotic diseases can even spread to human family members and infect your home. In short, parasites are a serious issue.
Millions of lost pets are brought to animal shelters or veterinary offices every year by well-meaning neighbors and good-hearted passersby. But sadly, the majority of pets brought to animal shelters are never reunited with their original family. Pets with microchips embedded in their bodies encoded with their owner's contact information stand much better chances of being reunited with their families.

I've been going to Highlands-Eldorado for nearly 20 years. 20 years, 6 dogs and they treat me like I'm a new client; professional, responsive and they know their business. Love the entire crew there.

I had an intern as the vet today. She was thorough and efficient. We liked her, and we'll visit again next year.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Taylor and his staff! I first came across their clinic a year ago when looking for CCL tear surgery options. Dr. Taylor walked us through the tightrope procedure and explained the process very clearly and walked us through the treatment plan. We live on the third floor and he offered to keep Caden under their direct care until he was able to walk up stairs again, roughly a month - month and a half long, at no extra charge.
They knew from the beginning our dog was not the fondest of others not allowing anyone but us to touch him. He growls and snaps but

I highly recommend Highlands-Eldorado Veterinary Hospital. It was an overall great experience from when I made the 1st call until after our appointment was complete. I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Taylor and his entire staff. I found them when searching out options for repairing a CCL tear in my sweet girl. The tightrope technique Dr. Taylor recommended was different than the TPLO surgery most others offered, it was less invasive and had the upside of speedier recovery. He took extensive time to explain the differences, answer my questions, and plan out a course of action. In panic trying

We were looking for a second opinion in a CCL case for our female boxer and Dr Taylor was able to provide detailed explanations about options, pros and cons.... Great advice and now -without the need of another surgery- our dog Letty is progressing well ! Thanks Dr Taylor and staff : )

After going to Dr Wes Taylor for 20 years, I would never even consider going anywhere else. He has welcomed my new pups, healed them when they were hurt or ill, and comforted all of us when it was time to send my angels to the Rainbow Bridge. The group at Highlands-Eldorado is family.
