Established in 1984, The Sewing Room is not your typical alteration shop. We believe even inexpensive pieces can look like a million bucks if they fit to a T. We have experienced staff with fashion backgrounds. We not only help alter your clothing to give you the perfect fit we help you style your wardrobe to keep you updated!
Do I need an appointment? It depends on what you need altered. We require appointments for formal dresses and bridal gown alterations (see next section for more details on bridal). Everything else is on a walk-in basis. So if you need your pants measured or jacket etc just come on in during store hours.

I brought my wedding dress here in 2018 and they did an amazing job. I brought in a bridesmaid dress this year that I need shortened for a wedding and not only were they prompt, sweet, and helpful, but they actually remembered me over 3 years later and asked to see my wedding dress in pictures. They'll always have any alteration business that I need!

Today, I went to The Sewing Room for a consultation on alterations on my wedding dress. I wasn't committed to this establishment upon arrival but in the end, I left my dress in their capable hands. They were efficient, friendly, accommodating, operating under proper safety mask guidelines, and are quite affordable. My dress doesn't need extensive alterations and my second fitting is in August and I'll update accordingly. Overall, I am pleased with my experience so far and have good vibes for the future.

When I say this place is AMAZING I mean it!!!! I brought my wedding dress in after gaining quite a few COVID pounds and they not only altered my dress so that it fit me like a glove, but the also added straps, a corset back, a bridal belt and hemmed it for me. All the while, they were very reasonably priced, professional, and compassionate! My dress turned out beautifully! You wouldn't believe I was freaking out just 2 months ago about not being able to fit into it!

After reading terrible reviews for the seamstress where I purchased my wedding dress and having a bad experience when I picked up my dress, I did some research for alterations. I'm so happy I found Sewing Room. I was really upset with certain details on my dress that the bridal shop refused to address, and the ladies at Sewing Room offered suggestions to save the look of the dress and save money. They were kind and friendly, and they made me feel beautiful in my dress.

The Sewing Room did an amazing job with all my wedding dress alterations and the price was very reasonable. It was very easy to schedule an appointment and they were very willing to work with my schedule. I would definitely recommend them to any future bride looking for trustworthy alteration services.
