Valley Recycling has been working for over 25 years to help keep the Flathead Valley beautiful by diverting as much material as possible from going into the Flathead County Solid Waste Facility (County Landfill). In the last 14 years alone, we have diverted nearly 53,000 tons of recyclable materials.

With the help of Evergreen Disposal and the citizens of the Flathead Valley, we've reduced the amount of refuse going to the County Landfill an average of 7.5 million pounds of material EACH YEAR for the last 14 years! In 2017 and 2018, we've shipped out 7.9 million pounds and 7.8 million pounds respectively.

Excellent place to recycle your milk jugs and plastic bottles.
Also cardboard and mixed paper like newspapers and food boxes.
They don't pay for aluminum, but I recycle it here anyway because much of what they do is not for profit, and it's a little way to give back.

I wish they accepted more types of plastic, but I'm grateful that they're here at all. Be sure to be aware of (and follow) the rules and the instructions on the signs, or they might not be able to keep providing the service.

They are the only place in Flathead Valley that recycles 1 & 2 plastics! That's fantastic considering the state of health our planet is in due to pollution. I understand the cost of aluminum cans because this is a business that needs to make a profit so they are still able to help to continue to recycle!

30 cents for cans is ridiculous, that's why nobody recyclez here cause the recycling companies would get rich of us, I don't understand stand the difference in price and the difference in collections in Vegas you can't find a can cause so many people collect them plastic also just wierd to me

The owners are a local family who truly care about their work and strive to have a successful business while providing the community with a great resource. We used their receptacles to collect cans at a charity event which was a great way for us to raise more money for the family in need and recycle- it was a win-win! Thanks for the idea, Cindy! Awesome people with great customer service!
