Our team is made up of passionate and dedicated professionals. We have a wide variety of education and experience ranging from agricultural education, integrative nutrition, agricultural communications, and so much more. We are thrilled to introduce you to all the members of the SEEAG team! Even with California's rich agricultural heritage, children don't make the connection between the acres of farmland around them to the food on their tables.
Since 2008, SEEAG has impacted the lives of over 80,000 students and community members 100% free of charge. We are very proud of what we have accomplished since SEEAG was founded, all in accordance with our mission to educate students about the farm origins of their food from field-to-table while connecting them to the farmland in their own backyards.
As a nonprofit, we rely on supporters at every level to keep our programming accessible and FREE of cost. With a donation to SEEAG, you are investing in the sustainability of our local agriculture and helping build a healthier future for our students and local communities. Students for Eco-Education & Agriculture is tax exempt under Section 501(C)(3) of the IRS code.
As a growing non-profit organization, SEEAG has ongoing needs ranging from youth education and curriculum development to fundraising and program operations. Joining our team means contributing to the enrichment of our local community and helping to foster connections to the agriculture in our own backyard.
This two-part program includes an in-class presentation and field trip to a local farm. Join SEEAG in exploring all the scientific components involved in growing our food! Through hands-on activities and lessons, students will think critically as scientists and develop a deeper appreciation for our local food system.

Part of the 2017 Ventura County Farm Day, Petty Ranch featured friendly folks welcoming guests to their place. They offer a Farm Lab to help teach school kids about how food gets raised, which is a great resource in the area.
For Farm Day they had set up a small walking path through the orchards. I printed handout explained the significance of various plants and support aspects of their farming practices. That includes water conservation, which is vital in drought-prone California.
Primary crops include figs and lemons, both if which I got to see up close. I must confess, I wasn't up
