Committed to his community, Steve Murdock, has over 40 years of funeral service background. Raised in Lone Tree, Iowa, Steve worked at the local funeral home.
Since then he knew funeral services were his dream. He pursued this dream by attending the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in Dallas, Texas and graduated in 1974. Following college, Steve worked in Des Moines, IA and decided to move to Perry to raise a family. Steve and his wife Joyce moved to Perry in 1978 and purchased Time on Funeral Home.

Services
A collection of photographs, mementos or remembrances to be placed in the casket or displayed in their own special section. A Memorial Service is when the deceased is not present. It may take place at the funeral home, the family's home, or church. This is a time to remember your loved one through fellowship with friends and family.
Funeral services for Mildred "Millie" Cooley, 94 of Perry, IA, have been set for 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery. Funeral services for Larry Harney, 87, of Granger, IA will be 11:00 a.m. Angie attended schools in Perry and was a lifelong resident. Just because a family has chosen cremation does not mean that a funeral ceremony to honor the person who has died can not take place. There are several options such as a visitation or gathering of family and friends at the funeral home or another location. A funeral or memorial service can take place either before or after cremation.

Well, I feel like I've gotten to know Steve and Joyce Murdock quite well the past 9 months. Loosing my dad in September and Mom in June, they did a great job with the services and everything else that is involved
Again, I wonder what you can say about someone that does so much for you in your time of need.
Murdocks guided my parents and made it very easy for the Executor Greg Lewiston, my sister Audrey Mohr and myself.
Murdocks and Greg put on their referee shirts and my sister and I put on our big girl pants and we got it done.
Not without controversy, drama and acquisitions that were untrue
