What a warm, welcoming haven of peace and tranquility! The meditation hall and the grounds are beautiful and serene. And the monastics who live here are the kindest and most amazing people. I spent 4 days here in a silent meditation retreat in 2019 and it was an amazing experience. Wish everyone takes the time to enjoy this beautiful place and partake of this transformative experience.

My young adults nieces and nephews and I attended a 3 day Family Retreat here during New Year's. It was a nourishing experience for our mind, body, soul, and even tummies. The grounds are so serene and the environment provides the healing we need to give ourselves a regular basis. The teachings are simply beautiful and profound on whatever level you meet with Buddhism or with a more fulfilling approach to life. The monastic brothers & sisters are extremely warm, and welcoming. When I had the opportunity to share my personal stories with them, I gained new insights on living and on steps to actualize

Magnolia grove is a nicest place in Mississippi. It is a religious place. These people worship BUDDHA. They have meditation class in the temple. They have Mindful Sunday. They do walking meditation. Lots of Monk in the Temple. All of them are very very nice people. They grow vegetables, fruit and some other things. In the front yard you can see Martin Luther King's statue with monk. Nice calm and peaceful place on the earth. They do teach peace with peaceful mind. Love to go back again people who looking for peace, this is the best place in Mississippi.

What a gem. I had such a lovely experience here filled with such warmth and joy being around all of the monastics and fellow retreatants. The meditation hall is stunning, as is the bell tower, lotus pond, statue of Quanyin and the wonderful statue and garden for Thay and MLK. I just felt at home here and can't wait to come back to deepen my practice. I recommend everyone to come here and just breath and let go.

Magnolia Grove the newest of four Zen Buddhist centers in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh (the others are Deer Park in California; Blue Cliff in New York; and Plum Village in France). The monastics there are incredibly welcoming and kind. If you are interested in Buddhism; if you want to try some really tasty vegan food; or if you're stressed or hurting and want to learn some simple and practical techniques for self care, you should definitely visit.

We attended the New Year 5 day retreat- The mindfulness message was articulated and as important- it was lived during the retreat with actual practices as well as a non hurried pace- leaving actual time to live mindfulness- in the hear and now.
Each meal incorporated time for mindfulness. There was opportunity for individual consultation. We enjoyed seeing the brothers and sisters both exercising leadership opportunities- and they all seemed happy and respectful to each other.
It is definitely an experience to repeat and appreciate deeply.
