At High Point Periodontics, Dr. Lanier specializes in the care of periodontal disease and the placement of dental implants. We strive to provide a pleasant, relaxing and caring environment. We welcome you to the practice, and will answer any questions and concerns regarding your health. Dr. Lanier has been a practicing periodontist for more than 20 years.
She provides the best care possible by using state-of-the-art equipment. For example, Dr. Lanier provides laser gum surgery as an option to patients to treat periodontal disease, compared to the more traditional osseous surgery. This procedure, called LANAP, does not require a scalpel or sutures, and has less than a 24 hour recovery period.

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants may be an option for people who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason. Did you know that 69% of adults between the ages of 35-44 have lost one or more of their permanent teeth?
Dentures are replacements for missing teeth that can be taken out and put back into your mouth. While dentures take some getting used to and will never feel exactly the same as one's natural teeth, today's dentures are natural-looking and more comfortable than ever. There are two main types of dentures: full and partial.
Bone grafting, also known as bone augmentation, is a safe and highly successful procedue that involves the "building up" or additing to the jaw or supporting teeth. This can be done by using your own natural bone from inside your mouth and/or by using donor, processed or synthetic bone materials. Bone grafts help your body to regenerate bone.
Often patients who have lost teeth in the upper jaw require a sinus lift in order to have dental implants placed. The bone in the area where are missing naturally begins to shrink, or resorbs overtime. As a result, the sinuses expand and occupying the empty bone space. The sinus must be placed in its orginal position and bone placed to securely place the implant.
Sedation dentistry is used by many dentists to provide a relaxing, calming experience for patients who are fearful of the dentists or having dental procedures performed. There are three different options in which sedation can be administered, such as oral, conscious or IV sedation. Dr. Lanier will provide the best method for you, to alleviate your fears!

This was my first visit to Dr. Lanier's office. They have a very efficient Covid protocol in place with text notications to step you through check in. The office staff were very pleasant and professional. Dr. Lanier was honest about the issues I'm having and was not looking to just make.money on options that may not fix the problem. They really deserve 5 stars, but like most businesses these days they seemed to be short staffed or something else was causing a bit of distraction that day. I highly recommend them and will be continuing to visit the office in the future.

From the moment I arrived, until I checked out, I felt "safe and protected", as Dr. Lanier and her staff were ensuring that all precautions were being taken, with regards to the pandemic.
Dr. Lanier and her staff were friendly, polite and helpful.
The office was conveniently located, and it was festively decorated for the holidays! (Music was being played in the exam room- would have loved for it to be Christmas music 😀.)
Going to the dentist (oral surgeon) is never fun, but my visit to Dr. Lanier's office was a pleasant one.
Dr. Lanier had performed a procedure on me back in the 1990's

I have pretty severe anxiety when it comes to dental visits often requiring premedication, but recently I’ve been doing better with my regular dentist not needing medication, and when he referred me to Dr. Lanier I decided to continue the no premed trend.
My initial phone call to set up the appointment set the tone. The lady I spoke with reassured me the visit would be quick and as painless as possible. Her friendly tone helped calm my nerves. She was genuine and understood my fear.
The assistant (please forgive me for not remembering names) was very kind and reassuring during the visit as

I would highly recommend Dr Laniers practice. They are very up beat and positive. I've had great experiences there. I was very self conscious and embarrassed about my gum issues. I wasn't happy with myself for not getting it taken care of before and I love their approach that your here now and let's get it fixed. Thank you Dr. Lanier and your staff!

This is my mom's dentist and she wanted me to post this review for them since she is not good with the computer. The entire staff from the front office to all the hygenists are fantastic. Parker is especially nice. She was very helpful getting my mom in and out of the practice. They have strict Covid policies which she greatly appreciates. She loves the cleanliness of the entire operation.

Dr. Lanier and her staff are very professional and nice. They make a great team. On the day of my gum surgery they had a student. I myself used to teach in medicine so I was very impressed how Dr. Lanier and the tech helped her. I told the student to “ ask questions”!! Great after care and call back from Dr. Lanier was a plus. Great experience with an excellent group!!

Dr. Lanier performed a couple of procedures on my wife today and we had an outstanding experience. She and her staff are great. The post-operative directions were clearly articulated and written and their ability to schedule three different appointments inside of a week for diagnosis, cleaning, and surgery was appreciated and well-orchestrated.

Just had a consultation here and the entire staff made me feel awesome... I have appointments set for work I need done and I feel Dr.Lanier won't disappoint me. Although my nerves were off from previous dentist office visits elsewhere, I was very comfortable and got a genuine great vibe from the entire office and staff.

My review may be lengthy but I feel it creates a better review for Triad Periodontics. A little history about myself and others may have had the same upbringing. As a child, I was never given much focus on dental health. No "Brush your teeth before you go to bed" or when you got out of bed. The only time that I was taken to the dentist was when I had a problem (Cavity, Tooth Ache, Etc.) So, going to the dentist was always associated with pain. I had been going to other dentists over the years much was always because of an issue. So yes dentist = pain. Always nervous and not wanting
