Should any mental health professionals be involved in the case to aid the parents, the children, or the family as a whole?. Ms. Reese was an accountant before becoming a lawyer, and though it often comes in handy, the use of a good expert is often needed to address complex financial issues, or to get those many years of back taxes done.
The law will generally allocate to you any property you owned before marriage if you do not mingle it to the point of non-recognition with marital property and the courts will divide marital property between the parties absent an agreement in the event of a divorce. A prenuptial agreement, however, removes the uncertainty of a judicial determination.
The adoption eliminates the biological parent's obligation to provide support for the child, but it does not eliminate any existing child support arrearage. Except in limited circumstances, the blood relatives and family members of the parent being divested of their parental rights, are also divested of their legal rights and obligations to the child, including right to petition the Court for visitation.
If need be, you file a suit and ask the court to recognize the actions of the other party, and do equity by providing you with a monetary award and fees for having to come to court as a result of the party's failure to disclose.

I was immensely impressed with my experience with Reese Law on a child custody case. I have worked with other firms on the same case in the past and Reese's level of professionalism, knowledge, and skills were far superior. Kate Reese and her paralegal are fabulous. Reese turned my case over to a junior attorney (Williams) and promised to monitor his work against errors. Instead, he made several mistakes resulting in $30K+ loss for me. When I confronted her about this, her only response was to get the civil case (negligence) thrown out on a technicality not because she had failed to provide the promised service. She is only concerned about money; and won't acknowledge when she has failed her clients.

I called Reese Law based on a recommendation and when I already had a Separation Agreement notarized and signed. It is a somewhat unique situation and Reese Law was willing to take it on when there were only a couple of issues to be worked out. The whole team was extremely responsive - even when there was a COVID scare in the office - with timely, clear, answers to my questions and I never once felt like they were drawing out the process to create more revenue for themselves. In fact, they consistently told me when a decision would cost more and allowed me to take that information into account

I was recommended to Kate Reese's office after my venue changed from MD to VA, and let me tell you, the recommendation exceeded my expectations. Kate is responsive, knowledgeable, competent, congenial, and a fighter for her clients and their children... all things you want in a family law attorney. I wish I never would have retained Reese Law as my legal counsel for my divorce.
She is not/not a strong client advocate.
She only cares about receiving her money and the firm nickels and dimes you for everything!
The legal counsel I received was not worth the $60K I paid her.
There are far better lawyers in the area for less money and provide more ch better representation.
She herself was rude and abrasive to me when I informed her of my concerns of her firms ability to strongly represent me.
I should have fired her as my counsel the, however I was hopeful the ordeal would be ending soon

Kate Reese was able to mediate a difficult custody and visitation situation for my family. I was amazed what we were able to accomplish in just two meetings. Hired Kate Reese for my divorce and went through all the particulars and details of my case. The divorce agreement was drafted and I was billed for 2 or 3 hours. Upon review I noticed errors that were on the part of the law office and miscommunication between Ms. Reese and her staff. I had given her all the information needed and it was accurate. They made the necessary corrections which couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes to a half hour and again it was an error on their part. I received my bill and I was charged more for the corrected agreement than the original. I was double billed
