We began in 1948 as Chadwick's Plants. Byron and Emily Chadwick grew and sold perennials in Willard for 41 years. Barney and Della Barnett took over in 1988, and continued the nursery's traditions under the new name of Willard Bay Gardens. Under the Barnetts, they established a fantastic reputation based on good hardy plants, helpful service, and a great selection.

At Willard Bay Gardens, we take gardening seriously, yet strive to make your experience as fun as possible. We specialize in Wasatch native plants, water-wise, ornamental grasses, and hard-to-find plants. We won't sell anything that we believe can't handle the harsh Utah weather. We've kept Willard Bay Gardens around for those who are always on the lookout for that perfect plant, whether outside or inside.
Services
We pride ourselves on a unique selection of quality goods, many of them exclusively stocked by us here at Willard Bay Gardens. We're always on the hunt for new flowers and plants that are affordable, and most importantly, beautiful. Our collection of flowering perennials and plants are updated often so don't miss out!

This place is amazing and unbelievably helpful. Huge shout out to Lonnie who took the time to explain the plants he recommended on what we wanted!

Adorable store & Basket Daze was a great event we learned about through Facebook. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Very well organized and healthy, happy plants. I can't wait to see what our baskets look like in a few short months!

One of the best in Utah! I often drive from Kaysville to Shop at Willard Bay Gardens. I have found they have very good plants, and many of the hard to find varieties. Staff is small but does their best to service all customers. Good place to find pollinator-friendly perennial flowers.

Came looking specifically for xeriscape flowers that are pollinator friendly. Gardener was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. She directed us not only to the waterwise section (terracotta colored pots) but went through each plant so we could know which would do well with similar watering and soil conditions. Definitely recommend. It is very crowded in spring, though.

I love the Basket DayZ which has become a family tradition for all the women in our family. It's fun, affordable and well-organized with all the information you need to succeed with your own plants and garden!

This is my favorite nursery. I love the small containers and huge variety of plants. Lots of hard to find selections. The smaller containers are much easier to plant and less expensive than other places. They work hard to keep their plants healthy. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They also have great sales and promotions. I have to travel a little ways to get there but it is always worth it.
