First off, any repair shop willing to answer my layman's questions about my vehicle with patience and without being condescending is going to get my business. With all the info on the web, we should all learn more about our cars. That is g and g.
and second, any repair shop that does a 1200$ repair and 6000 miles later fixes the problem of a failed repair without asking questions or avoiding responsibility is going to get my business. That is g and g. I recommend these guys. I will take my car there again

I take my four cars (2007 Mazda3, 2013 Honda CRV, 2012 Subaru Legacy, and 2016 Mazda CX3) to G&G Skokie or Evanston. Phet and his team are super trustworthy and their quality of work is exceptional. They'll be honest with and let you know what needs to be done to your car and if it's actually worth the $ to get it done. They always explain to me what work is recommended, why it's recommended, and the urgency of the proposed work. G&G is the place to go if you want a top-notch, dependable auto mechanic.

Relocated to Skokie 2/20. In June needed an oil change & on my daily walk, noticed G&G on Main St in Skokie.
I agree with all the others who had service done.
Angel is outstanding! I need to be sure my car is in tip top condition even if it's a 2009.
He always gives me a quote before doing the work.
I am 69 & this by far is the best garage I have ever gone to, even in the State of Maine.

I couldn't ask for better service. Had our cat converter stolen, did a great job with installing the new one and dealing with all of Allstate's garbage. Highly recommend.
Follow up, a couple weeks later I asked if they could install a Cat Clamp, a catalytic converter theft device, and they did a fantastic job with the install.

I had a great experience and highly recommend using G&G Automotive. We came in because of weak cooling and the dreaded "Service Engine Soon" warning.
Repairs were quickly diagnosed, clearly explained, and quickly completed at a fair price. Walking through the estimate I understood the logic behind Phet's recommendation and that he was practical and sensitive to cost too.
Phet even followed up a couple days later to make sure we were satisfied with the repairs.
Highly recommended.

I had a pleasant experience with my oil change. The lady at the front desk was friendly & informative. Besides the oil change, they checked my brakes, refilled the liquid for the windshield wiper and checked the air filter. Everything was explained to me & nothing was forced for me to purchase. I recommend calling ahead of time to make an appointment. Unbeatable price, quick service & friendly customer service!

I am kind of far but when I travel, I call my friends for their recommendations. About a week ago, I needed help on my 05 Mazda3. I was told to call this shop and WOW! The owner is the one who fixed my 2006 RX400h, 150,000 miles on it.
He even believes the car could run up to 300,000 miles still- that's peace of mind .
He explains everything to my understanding before he fixes it . He is true and honest . The whole crew on this establishment will instantly makes you feel at home. They will call you or text you even after work hours - this gives me peace and relieves my anxiety .
The price was less than it would have been in the neighboring auto shop . Don't even bother Lexus dealer to compare.
