Our Work Our heirloom furniture and gifts are handcrafted from solid American hardwoods. We use walnut, cherry, red and white oak, quarter-sawn white oak, maple, curly maple, ambrosia maple and ash. Our designs are simple, clean and timeless, often taking inspiration from the Shakers, as well as Scandinavian and modern design.
Our furniture is finely sanded and finished simply to reveal the natural color and beauty of the wood grain. When you buy our pieces, you can rest assured that you're not bringing questionable wood or dangerous chemicals into your home, because our wood is solid, new, furniture grade lumber, our glue is low-VOC and our finish options are 0% VOC.

Services
We sell our pieces directly and through our Etsy shop. We welcome your emails and phone calls to answer questions or to start a conversation about custom pieces. We accept payment in the form of Paypal (most major credit cards, ) wire transfers and checks. Our cutting boards and gifts have been carried in a number of retailers across the US, listed on our contact page.
Since we are quite small, we do not have a storefront. Please don't try to visit our P.O Box! If you are interested in having a piece made, we are happy to set up a visit to our shop, just get in touch with us to set up an appointment. I contacted Mountain Mule Hardwoods to make me a king size custom bed and two nightstands. I chose them for two reasons; 1) They only use products that are safe to the environment and to humans without off gassing toxic chemicals and 2) They were able to customize my bed to fit the Samina Bed system which is different than standard king size mattresses. They went above and beyond on both counts and we couldn't be happier. Besides Nelson's attention to detail and amazing talent working with wood, Megan communicates with you so thoroughly to make sure they understand exactly what your needs are.

We love our bed and nightstands. They are truly beautiful. They are so special. Working with Megan to get what we wanted was fantastic. She was so helpful and provided the perfect amount of guidance. We were a little worried about putting the furniture together but it was really easy. The directions were extremely clear. Cannot wait to get more furniture!

Purchased several items for a small business, including bookshelves, desk, console, and a side table. Could not be happier. Well made, great looking, feels solid. Have had experiences with supposedly "high end" furniture stores including Restoration Hardware and Room & Board, these pieces are way better. Communication was easy. Items very well packed, hard to imagine them being damaged in transport. Pricing is very reasonable. Will be happy to buy again.

Outstanding is the best word to use... my experience with Mountain Mule was incredibly pleasant and I'm in love with my finished pieces. I found MM on Etsy and we "chatted" back and forth to design a series of custom walnut boxes to fit inside a shelving unit I already owned.
