Downeast Audio Video specializes in custom home theaters, smart home solutions, and home audio systems. As a Maine, family-owned business, we bring our Downeast roots and flare to each project, combining ingenuity and attentiveness. Your new entertainment system is all about enjoying life more fully - and the planning and installation process should be no different!
We will contact you to schedule an on-site initial consultation or a meeting to go over plans and blueprints. Within 24-48 hours of our initial consultation, we will have a full proposal ready for you to review (unless we are waiting on product information for availability). We will set up a phone appointment to discuss our proposal and answer any questions you may have.
Whether you need to update your current system or want to be sure you don't make the same mistakes in your new home or business, Downeast Audio Video offers professional design services so your new system is planned out to fit your lifestyle and specific needs. We can advise on the best size and placement of TVs and screens, and where you will benefit best from speaker location.
We are fully licensed for low-voltage wiring installation. As part of our design process, we determine the locations of wall jacks consisting of coax for cable or satellite TV, data cable for hard wired Ethernet, computer or printer locations, telephone or any other low voltage options. In retrofit situations, we are often able to "fish" wire to certain locations depending on the construction of the building.
At Downeast Audio Video, we sell and install a quality line of televisions for all home entertainment needs. We can help determine the best size screen for your room size and layout, run the appropriate cables and wiring, and install a wall-mounted TV with no visible wiring. TV's have some a long way!

Zeb and his team did an amazing job at setting up a home internet, audio and video environment. Zeb helped us choose the most appropriate equipment for our home (not necessarily the most expensive, which we appreciated) and installed it in a highly professional manner. When the inevitable bugs popped up early on, he worked to fix them quickly and effectively. We'll be using him and his people again for other audio, visual and internet jobs in our home!

Zeb and Tanner spent the day at my home, so by the end of the day ... they were like family. They helped sort out what old equipment I could use, and what needed to be updated. They installed 3 TVs, 3 new Apple TV’s , Sonos sound bar, surge protectors, new universal remotes for all the systems. They were thorough, efficient and precise. They even helped me set up the printer for my computer. Their pricing was very fair. I even got a call the next day telling me they mistakenly overcharged me $100 for one of the remotes. Talk about honesty and integrity...

I don't even know where to start. Zeb and this company go so far above and beyond it's incredible. We had a huge electrical storm on Saturday, blew out some internet components. I contacted Zeb on Sunday, fully expecting to leave a message and we would further discuss on Monday. But in under an hour we were communicating back and forth about possible causes and ways to test things. Monday morning Zeb was out here bright and early and had me up and running. This is the way a business should be run. Can't thank them enough.

When I bought my house I wasn’t sure what to do with the existing audio system in the living room, so I contacted Downeast Audio. Zeb the owner met with me and gave me variety of options. The process was fantastic. My system sounds incredible. I was so happy with his work that I had him come back and install a surround sound system in my game room. We had Zeb at Downeast design and install a home theater in our finished basement as well as hang two more large screen TVs in living room and bedroom. We couldn’t be happier, the room(s) look incredible, all wires hidden, all components bundled and cleaned up. We literally have the nicest entertainment setups in our neighborhood. We also bought all of product from Zeb (TVs, mounts, wires, receivers, speakers) as he had the best quality product for the best price. We highly highly recommend Downeast Audio..you will not be disappointed.

From the planning, ordering, installing and servicing, Downeast Audio Video has been a great company to work with. They were super helpful when we were planning what we wanted for a home theatre system as Zeb is super knowledgable on all the up to date technology. Ordering with them was easy and installation was done in a timely manner. We like them so much, we are having them back in the Spring to add an outdoor sound system. I can't say enough good things about Zeb and Tanner at Downeast Audio Video.

Zeb is the consummate audiophile guy. His work is top notch and goes above and beyond the norm. He set’s a high bar for his client’s satisfaction and goes way above your expectations. Tanner, who works along side him is very personable. Zeb will always answer your questions regarding your audio/visual needs.
I must say I was totally “blown away” when everything finally came together with my new 4K home theatre. It is the best. When that 7.1 sound hits your ears in combo with visuals it is nothing short of amazing.

Zeb and Tanner installed Cat-6 Ethernet cable from my router to my LG Smart TV. They were creative (in routing the Cat-6 cable), meticulous, careful and professional. They were able to lay cable where both an electrician and the Best Buy Geek Squad said it was not possible. I am very happy with their work.
