Layton's is hands down the best garage in Fort Lauderdale and anywhere in the south Florida area. They're honest, do car repairs at a fair rate, don't try and up-charge for unnecessary things, explain what's wrong, and ALWAYS go above and beyond to help you. I decided to come here after going to my former garage for several years and recently not being happy the service here was amazing I feel the work they did was above average you feel like you walked into a place where you they're not going to try to screw you they're not cheap but they're not expensive and I think peace of mind and good work is certainly worth a premium

Several neighbors recommended Layton's when I moved here and I've been a loyal customer for 10 years. The first thing I noticed was how clean their garage was. But the thing I like most about them is that they don't overdiagnose and recommend unnecessary work (unlike most dealerships). At first I just used them for minor things like oil changes instead of going to my Chrysler dealer, which was much farther away. So... my son's 185K miles Dodge truck did a funny thing and wouldn't give power to the engine above 10mph. Took it over to Layton's based on a great recommendation from someone in my office. It was late in the day so I left it overnight. Next morning Layton's began diagnosing the problem, but could not get it to replicate. So they kept it until the afternoon and tried again... still nothing.
Here is where the fun begins. Instead of making up some bogus repair just to get $$$ from me, Larry won't charge me because there was nothing to fix. That kind of honesty and understanding

I received excellent service from the team at Layton's. Dropped my truck off right after they opened and it was done by the afternoon with no appointment needed. Very accommodating considering they are one of the more popular mechanics in the Fort Lauderdale area. Larry was exceptional and explained to me, with a full price breakdown what else I needed done to my vehicle. Will be back for any future work needed.

Giving this business one star is being extremely generous. When I dropped off the car I spoke with Paul , a very friendly and polite man. Unfortunately I had to deal with Larry, who is incompetent, unprofessional and rude. After listening to every excuse Larry could make up... I informed him that he was not authorized to make the repairs. I am taking my car to the dealer tomorrow!!! Take your vehicle anywhere but here!!!

Called first thing in the morning and I mean early, and they were open. I was told to come right in. Good thing they are located minutes from my job. I was given a ride to work and later in the day received a call regarding my car situation. I was having brake issues. He was honest and told me my options. Didn't try to con me into getting some expensive service. Within a few hours my car was ready and they sent out a driver to pick me up and take me back to the shop. The overall experience was good service which was fast, efficient, and economical.

We have be LAYTON's Customers for our whole life. This is a family owned/operated business that is fair, honest and trustworthy and provides exceptional customer service (they will drive you to work, if needed and provide estimates when the problem must first be diagnosed as well as recommendation whether a repair is worth it or time to get a new car. We would not go to any other mechanic. We don't buy extended car warranties as we trust ART and his team.

I was reading the reviews on this garage and have read that there is a lack of customer waiting area... However, I brought my car in for an oil change and I was directed to a small customer waiting area! The guys are very friendly and courteous. They brought my car right in and didn't try to upsell like other places have tried to do with me. I would highly recommend these guys and I would definitely come back for my next oil change or anything that goes wrong with my car.

I went for an oil change because they sent me a coupon for moving into the neighborhood. They did the oil change and didn't try to upsell me on anything for my car. This is facility has been in business over 50 years. They have many repeat customers who trust the mechanics.
I went for a walk while they worked on my car. They were accurate on the time it would take based on the cars ahead of me. Staff was friendly.
