In 1998, while visiting friends in Colorado Springs, we, Gertrud and Ralf, discovered Victor after we had travelled up Phantom Canyon Road from Canon City. We fell in love with the area. At that time, we had dreams of moving to the US at some point and decided this would be the target area, if we ever were to obtain visas.

Two years later, with visas in place, we moved our family of five from Fulda, Germany, to the Victor, Colorado, area. We had always liked baking. Ralf had even started an apprenticeship as a teenager to become a baker, but then changed to carpentry. After bringing baked goodies to many school and other functions, we had a chance to start a bakery in 2009.

I have placed several large orders with Gertrude and her ladies. We are never disappointed with the quality of the sandwiches and cookies. Love the bakery as it has so much history and is super cozy. If I could give it more stars I would.

Went here recently with my sister we just moved up here with my family and this was great we stoped and picked up some goodies. Great little place vary friendly staff and the brownies are the bomb.

Everything is home made and sooooo good! The sandwiches are huge, we got the "half" and it could easily feed 2 people I am afraid of getting a whole lol the cookies and cakes are amazing! I tell you what I'm not baking anymore I will just come buy cookies and cakes from them!!!

Great food! Especially their biscuits and gravy! The gravy is like none other! They make HUGE deli sandwiches that you "create" the same way as you would at Which Wich (by circling items on a card). The only negative is that it's quite a wait to get your food.

Delicious! Very nice folks here who clearly make their food with lots of care. We ordered the chicken pot pie (plenty for one person) and a sandwich meal deal. The freshly made bread is soooo good! Also highly recommend the bee sting for dessert. They describe it as a traditional German pastry with sweet almonds and vanilla whipped cream. It’s not too sweet, which I personally really like.

This place needs help, Awesome varieties of baked goods and sandwiches. I watched people wait over 1 hour to just get in the door. I met people who drove over 2 hours for the Bakery goods. That's absolutely impressive! I shall return myself for the bakery and to visit other places in the town.

Friendly small bakery with a couple tables for eat in. The pot pie and goulash was fantastic. Got bread and cookies to go that we've been enjoying for another 2 days.

My husband and I loved the food! The customer service was however poor, I asked for a simple iced water 3 times and never received it but when I did (as I was paying) it had a long hair in it (accidents happen) but they also said our Bill came out to $85.03 when we only ordered a sándwich, pot pie, 6 cookies and two pieces of cake? Our actual total was $33 and they fixed it. Like I said the food was good, but check your ticket before you pay.

Thank you Google for finding Gold Camp Bakery for us! We had a full loaf sandwich and a chicken pot pie and both were very good. We also had the peanut butter pie and a chocolate mocha butter cream cake and both were amazing.
