Was new here in the area for a job, we went to check jjs market because we live near by, then when we we're paying the cashier asked us if we're going to use ebt because if yes ebt dont cover grocery bags. He did not asked anybody in the line just us, maybe because im the only brown person there and im with my white fiance. I lived in cathedral city, palm springs, redlands, loma linda, pomona those places used ebt all the time, but never once in my time there that a cashier or a person assumed and asked me if i will use ebt. Its just mind blowing. I will never shop there again.

On our road trip we stopped at a small antique shop and in the parking lot there was a gentleman grilling something that smelled great. We headed that way and he belonged to the adjacent market. It was spectacular inside. The deli had everything including the items from the bbq outside. There were a multitude of sides seriously like 30 choices. The marinated green olives were phenomenal. This store was huge and had tons of local artesian products. This is the kind of store that makes you wish you lived in the community. Definitely stop here.

Stopped by here during a vacation because they were the closest grocery store. It's a quaint little market that has a pretty decent selection of goods. The staff was really friendly during my stop here and parking was plentiful. Their prices for me was pretty outrageous. I don't know if it's just the area (doubtful), but prices here were at least twice what I'm used to paying. Like a normal size box of Cheez-Its was $5 on sale. I'd come back here again if I absolutely had to, but it was really weird paying Hawaii prices on the Central Coast.

As you enter you notice how clean it is and very cool it is. So fruit won't spoil I suppose ? There are plenty of checkers to take Care of the customers. They friendly and willing to help even the old. Folks like me. I saw one carry groceries to this lady car and help put bags her. Car

Yesterday afternoon on my way back from slo I decided to stop at JJ's and check them out. I ordered a sandwich and white rose potato salad. I have got to tell you that I wish I has more of that potato salad. It was excellent. I thinking about going back tomorrow and get some more. I purchased the medium sized container, had half last night with half of my sandwich and finished the rest tonight. Sandwich was quite good as well, I had the roast beef on sour dough. They might think of adding some kind of roll instead of loaf bread. Anyway that's my story!

I am fairly new to the area and I frequent JJ's quite often. They have a great selection of goods, the deli is great and they have very good quality on veggies and fruits. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I'm very grateful for the convenience and quality of this market.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the prices on non-sale items are quite high.

Today i went in with a friend of mine and to say the least , the cashier asked if we wanted a bag. As we said yes she then slid a brown paper bag across the bagging counter a then pushed our items we had purchased rudely towards us. And i instantly felt like we were a bother and as quickly as she started the next customer i felt unwanted there. I've been living in this area for quite awhile now and been in the store enough times to be considered part of community. Today i felt like an immigrant straight off the boat!

Small local store. Doesn’t have much for healthier eaters, didn’t see any tuna salad or chicken salad. Checkout staff was pleasant but one woman working wore a face shield that was nowhere near covering her face. She could have fit another person’a head in there. Kind of useless with an airborne virus. They allowed a dog which was awesome. Certainly not a large store like Ralph’s and had hoped to see more local good but didn’t.

JJ's Market is absolutely amazing!!! You can't go wrong grabbing some of the homemade pasta or some other barbecue items!!! Directions to burritos are absolutely killer, my favorite pasta is going to be the spinach, tomato pasta !!!!
There's usually really good deals going on, and was really cool you can put your phone number in and on your 10th visit you get a free sandwich !!

This is a great grocery store by Highway 1. I live relatively close to the store, and go there about once a week. They have pretty much anything you are looking for, however, prices are a little on the high side. The staff make up for the prices though, everyone is always nice and helpful. The staff and most customers are very COVID safe as well. Will keep coming back for a long time!

Chef Steve’s dinner tastes fresh. The meat is juicy, has slight sweet flavor. Also with a special sour cream taste to help you with a good appetite. Creamy potatoes, just cooked right. Good portion of vegetables for healthy diet. First time try ... Really liked it. The staff is very kind and conscientious.

If you're driving through or staying in the area for some time like I was JJ's is a pretty decent community market to visit and pick up some essentials.
I was pleased to find a variety of plant based/ vegan options from plant based milks, creamers, breakfast and frozen food items. And of course they had a nice variety of fresh produce for home cooked meals. You can see the variety of choices I posted in photos sections of this post.

We moved to Nipomo from Los Angeles a little over a year ago. Found JJ's right away from a neighbor. What a great market! People there are so friendly and helpful! Meat department, deli and produce sections are very high quality. I will not buy chicken any place else if I can help it. For some reason JJ's chicken tastes the best. Their fresh fish is really fresh too.
The store has a very nice selection of wines and liquor.
We recently tried one of the dinners they have available Monday through Friday. Huge portion of delicious Shepard's pie with salad and roll for $9.99

While I am happy that I do not have to shop here as a pure local...due to higher prices...I do appreciate some of their more unique selections.
Lets face it, it is a rather pricey grocery in an out of the way area....but they do some things quite well.
They also have a local baker who produces artisan baked goods.
My wife absolutely loved the unique Raisin Multigrain Nut & Seeds
bread, it is now her favorite bread of all time. It is labeled Glo's Goodies & they are way beyond good! Since my wife now treasures this bread, I will max out the stars & also check with JJ's to

I recently moved to the Mesa and find myself at JJ's at least two days out of the week. They have a great deli that I always take full advantage of it. They BBQ ribs and tri tip every day that you can buy on its own or as a meal. They're available to make custom sandwiches as soon as they open every day so I can easily snag some great food for lunch on my way to work.
I was informed that they're prices are steep which is to be expected for a local grocery store. However, I've found that they actually have some fantastic deals on a lot of stuff. You just have to keep your eyes

What a fantastic Market that we found. They have a lot of specialty items in the store. They have something called Frog Balls which are marinated brussel sprouts. We bought a jar of spicy asparagus and spicy beans. We are going to go back and get the Frog Balls for sure. I'm going to try a couple of their ribs for my lunch as they look very tasty. Large selections of a lot of unique items and a nice meat counter. Their Deli is fantastic.

Their inventory has gotten significantly better since Albertsons/Haggen closed for good. Probably because that only left the area with two other grocery options and they are both mediocre on their best day.
The deli counter makes delicious sandwiches and salads. You can purchase what they have premade, call ahead and order or order at the counter and they quickly put it together. Someone mans the oak pit barbecue daily and cooks up some tasty Santa

We enjoy coming to this supermarket. In addition to excellent pork chops (better than Von's) they had wild Sockeye salmon today and Boarshead products (we love Boatshead hotdogs) and they have a nice deli counter.
Yes, on typical non-perishable grocery items you pay a little more. However, you don't have to fight to get a parking space and it is much easier and convenient to shop (especially for products not carried by supermarkets).
I do avoid their "fresh" produce as we jdrive to Hayachi's for super-fresh produce such as strawberries, corn, onions, etc.
