Ulla Eyewear is terrific! I didn't require prescription lenses until I was about 45. Since then, I've purchased glasses at three price points: inexpensive; moderately expensive; and worth-every-penny. As the adage goes, "you get what you pay for" and my glasses from Ulla Eyewear are definitely in that third category. Their selection of definitely-not-boring frames is superb. My Optician, Alia, is knowledgeable, thorough, patient, and very helpful. And, as someone who has been known to be careless with my glasses, I appreciate their excellent warranty.

Ulla Eyewear is a very nice boutique store for glasses in Madison. The staffs (Margot and Kat who received us) were friendly, patient and helpful. As a family we purchased 3 pairs of lenses and 1 pair of prescribed kid’s sunglasses, all of which were great. We will definitely go back there for new glasses in the future and will recommend Ulla to our friends who are in need.

I was very pleased with my experience at Ulla Eyewear. They have been flexible and accommodating. My glasses (purchased there) broke and I was pleased to hear that the lenses were under warranty. The frames and new lenses arrived sooner than expected. It is a very professional operation with many nice frames to choose from. The glass lenses which transition on sunlight to dark sunglasses are excellent.

I love shopping at Ulla! Yes, they are expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. I really appreciate the time and effort the staff put into helping me pick my frames. I came to Ulla years ago after a horrible experience at LensCrafters (shocker, I know). They have a lot of unique frames that have gotten me many compliments over the years from both friends and strangers. It's not secret their frames are expensive but that's because they aren't mass produced by a single company that controls 99% of the eyeglass industry. I've had cheap and "expensive" glasses from the big chains but they always end up falling apart or failing.

I paid TOP DOLLAR for glasses at Ulla. I ended up with horribly large frames (people made fun) after laying at least$100 extra for a special digital profile to get them just right. Nothing was ever made better. There were, contracts, contracts, and more.. Unless you have unending funds, go elsewhere. Wow what a rip off.

I recently broke my glasses in a freak accident while cleaning out my car.

I LOVE my glasses and (as I bought them at Ulla) they were not cheap.

I brought them in to Ulla with doom in my mind expecting to simply have to buy a new pair of glasses. The gentleman working indicated they could contact the manufacturer (provided they were not from the bespoke line) and have replacement frame fronts shipped in for half the cost of new frames--still not cheap, but substantially less than new glasses.
