After studying Horticulture and Landscape Design & Installation at Iowa State University, Jason decided in 2010 it was time to start a small landscape company, called J&M Landscapes, serving Pocahontas and Humboldt Counties. At this time Jason was working alone on small landscape projects in the area and doing some lawn care contracts to fill in time.
This expansion would take the small landscape business into a full service garden center offering annuals/perennials, trees/shrubs, commercial and residential lawn care and landscape design & installation. With the transition of management and addition of newly added services and offerings, it was decided to change the name to Gilmore Garden Center.
