From the urban sprawl of Texas to the vast Alaskan Arctic, Dr. Barrett has studied air quality across North America and has published his results in high-end peer reviewed scientific journals over the past 9 years at Baylor University and the University of North Texas. Tate is the owner and chief scientist of Barrett Environmental LLC, a mold and air quality assessment consulting firm in McKinney, TX.
If air quality parameters indicate the possible presence of mold, then mold spore samples or tape lift samples will be collected as approved by client. This service takes 3-4 hours depending on size of home and sampling requirements. A full report of results of air quality parameter tests and analytical results of mold samples, along with remediation recommendations will be provided following the assessment.
Mold is naturally occurring and found all over the globe and plays an important role in the outdoor environment by breaking down organic matter. However, when mold is found indoors, it is problematic and can lead to issues with structural integrity of your home and even cause health problems when touched or inhaled.

Tate is an excellent educator with a wide range of knowledge in air quality, pollution, and mold! Always gives an honest opinion and truly wants to make your home or workplace safer. I had this company come out to look at our house. My wife is a realtor and super picky about who she contracts. So the fact that Barrett Environmental exceeded her standards is impressive enough for me. But since you probably don't know my wife, that may not impress you.
For my money though, they did a great job educating me on the cause and effect of air quality. Tate was the dude who worked with us and he did a great job helping us find the right solution for our needs. I'd recommend this company 100%.
