In 1950 Dr. Ronald Julien first opened our doors on Thor Street. Later, Dr. Alan Julien partnered with Dr. Jay Berry to continue the legacy. Soon, the doctors outgrew their office and moved to our current location, with the serendipitous address of "2020" Colorado Ave.

I was in dire need of an appointment due to my sons frames breaking. We already had an office we had been going to for quite a few years. Sadly, the office we had been patients of were unable/unwilling to accommodate our special needs.
This turned out to be the biggest blessing in disguise. With frustration, I turned to google to search for a new office. I came across Turlock Eyecare. I tried to fill out the online form but the calendar didn't load so I called. The sweetest ladies assisted me, Carol and ? Tami? (I'm so sorry if I am forgetting your name). They advised they were booked

Dr. Robillard was great. I went in to discuss issues with my contacts. He took time to ask me questions and he had me try on several different contacts to see what fit best. He didn't act rushed for time and he took his time to make sure that I felt good about my contacts when I left. He sent me with several samples to try before I buy whole boxes.

I just had my first eye exam with Dr. Robillard yesterday. My new patient exam was originally scheduled 1 1/2 months out but was put on the cancelation list since my glasses were broken I needed in asap. I was super excited when I got in early. The first thing I noticed was how bright and clean the office is. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. I was taken back to my appointment as soon as my paperwork with the front desk was completed. All of the assistants from testing, dilation and choosing frames were very nice and informative. Dr. Robillard was great! He was easy to talk

The doctor is absolutely wonderful. I'm giving a 1 star because the service I received from the lady who tried to give me my glasses was HORRENDOUS. The lens of my glasses were not to my liking and I told her I would like them fixed and she told me that I had to take them home and give them a try. I could barely see out of these glasses because they're bifocal and the line was so sharp between the two lenses it was almost impossible for me to see through them. We went back and forth with this and she was raising her voice so much at me that she was basically screaming. I felt totally

I had my appointment here well over a year ago to establish care and obtain the prescription for a new updated prescription pair of glasses.
I had VSP vision insurance at the time and it worked beautifully with this office who accepts it.
The office was well organized, neat and the environment was professional. The appointment did not run on time unfortunately and I arrived early. The doctor was professional and helpful in nature as was the front receiving office area.
Because of my budget, purchasing glasses here was not an option so I requested my prescription on paper and would later

I love this place. I had a new patient appointment today with Dr. Hamel and my experience was outstanding! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed and treated very kindly by the receptionist at the front desk. They were very friendly and helpful. The techs/assistances were also friendly and made me feel at home. I def. recommend Dr. Hamel to anyone who is looking for a new eye doctor. He is well informed in his field of practice, friendly, professional and helped answer all my questions. I can not stress how amazing this place is!

I recently had a visit and had my 16 mo old with me. The staff was so patient and engaged my daughter during my exam. Dr Robillard was excellent, he was very patient while I had to chase my daughter down the hall in the middle of the exam. The selection of frames was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful deciding on a new frame. I would recommend this practice to anyone in the Turlock area! My only suggestion would be a changing table in the restroom or other area besides exam rooms.

My husband had injured his eye while working with some fiberglass and was seen by two Urgent Care facilities who promptly washed his eye and was advised to follow up with an eye doctor along with provided an antibiotic eye drop. I called 4 local eye doctors and Turlock Eyecare was the only one available to get him in. They were so transparent about how the billing would work with the Insurance and extremely accurate on what we could expect as far as payment, nothing hidden! My husband was seen by Dr. Robillard who was so thorough, even finding a small piece of debris that the two Urgent Care

My children and I had great experience at their facility. I was a little nervous at 1st but Dr. Hamel was excellent with all 3 of my children. They were very comfortable with their exams, they had a good time. He was very thorough with his exams and explained everything very well. Especially when it came to one of my children needing eyeglasses. He explained his condition and the type of glasses he needs given his young age. Then the ladies that helped with picking the frames of what would work best, not to mention more cost effective and not break our wallet. They're very knowledgeable

Nice people and my doctor is awesome. I gave them two stars and will not be returning to them because of the quality of work from their lab.
I purchased two pair of glasses from Turlock Eye Care. The first pair was returned quickly but they had to send them back because the lens was placed incorrectly. Great catch from the technician. When I got the glasses, I noticed that they had a prism at the top of the lens. They sent them back and it was about 80 percent better.
My second pair was the same situation. I received a call that they really couldn't do anything for me. The technician asked

I just wanted to say how great Turlock Eye care is. My son got injured around his eye a week ago. Turlock Eye care was able to see him quickly to make sure his eye was okay. I've been going to this practice since I was young. I was very disappointed when Dr. Berry retired. But Dr. Robillard has stepped in and surpassed my expectations! Love coming to this office, as everyone is always super helpful and pleasant. And their evening hours keep me coming back (I drive an hour to get here!).

The ladies here are always incredibly kind and professional. The office is also very clean and well organized. They staff members are also very helpful. I've seen Dr Julien in the past and really liked him, and today I saw Dr. robillard, who was incredibly nice and thorough. Can't wait to come back for my annual checkup next year!

This is the best, most professional eye doctor group that I have ever been to. My family and I have been receiving care here for the past 3 years. My husband, my daughter, and my youngest son have now all been given glasses! All of the staff makes you feel welcome, as soon as you step in the door. I recommend Turlock Eyecare to everyone I know!
