The Neville Center at Fresh Pond is a skilled nursing facility and has over 240 years of experience providing the highest quality care to residents of the greater Boston and Cambridge areas and beyond. We are proud to offer short-term rehabilitation and long-term care, with additional services such as Respite, Hospice and Palliative Care when necessary.
When choosing a health care setting for your rehabilitation, you'll want to choose a facility that has been repeatedly recognized for providing the highest quality of care. The Neville Center is the proud recipient of two deficiency free surveys from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. We have been awarded the Bronze and Silver Achievement in Quality Award from the American Health Care Association.
Upon admission all patients are evaluated by Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. All therapists are Neville Center employees, so they are part of your care team and will work with you throughout your stay for consistency and continuity of care. Therapy is provided seven days per week, including weekends and holidays.
Our Dining Services offer tasty and nutritious meals that will satisfy you and take your medical condition into consideration. Upon admission, our Nutrition team will create a personalized nutrition plan. To this end, we offer an extensive menu which will adhere to any specific medical, religious, cultural, or allergy concerns.
Full Time, Part Time, and PRN - Assessing the health care needs of the resident, make a nursing diagnosis, transition this, through collaboration with the nursing team, into an interdisciplinary plan of care utilizing all resources available. Is able to communicate this plan to all care providers in a way that ensures continuity.

My family and I can not rave enough about the Neville Nursing Home in Cambridge. This is the 3rd nursing home our mother has been moved to and Neville is the BEST! Our mothers health has improved, her physical strength is better, her happiness, and the smiles, laughter and communication conveys joy. A big difference since she has been at Neville. As her children, we now enjoy visiting her because we see a new Mom. Thank you to the staff, the attention and the care. Neville Center delivers just what our mother needs.

My Mother has been treated with respect and dignity. Neville center has been the answer to my family’s regarding my Mothers welfare. She was in another facility prior to this which was much more expensive, we had to move her because of falls and skin infections( Bridges Westwood Ma). At Neville center she is treated as an individual, not a patient. At Neville center her room is bright, safe and clean. Worst care ever for someone that is there for pt. 15 minutes of pt daily? Try reaching someone to talk to for information,impossible! Try getting a nurse,impossible! Try getting a doctor never gonna happen. Do not have a loved one go there. Just today I have been trying to speak with someone,anyone since 3:00 someone did call me back at 3:56 but still no answers,she is the nursing director and can’t get thru to them? She did finally get thru to them and called me back at 4:45,which I’m grateful for, but I don’t understand why nobody picks up the phone there.

I highly recommend not to work here. This place is not a five-star facility. That's a big lie. The nurses are terrible and can't do their job. They treat their receptionist like trash and are very unappreciative to them. This facility is the most unorganized and unprofessional place. Even if you care about your loved ones, don't send them here. I also recommend not work here. No one in there knows what there doing, and the place should be shut down. avoid this place at all cost.

I had a terrific experience at Neville Center
Following my back surgery. The staff was so friendly and helpful that I was able to relax and allow myself to enjoy my care and rehabilitation. As a retired health professional I appreciated the high nursing and therapy standards. My room was large with a sunny picture window. The food was mixed until I met with the dietitian and I then was able to choose memorable selections. All in all a nice place to convalesce!

Words can not express the care and comfort we received from the staff at the Neville Center. My grandfather spent the last 6 months of his life as a resident here and we can not speak highly enough of the care. His end of life care was far superior to anything we could have imagined and completely shattered any preconceived notions we had about long term nursing facilities. Please consider the Neville Center, you will not regret it.

My family's experience with Neville in 2017 for the care of my grandparents was absolutely wonderful. They truly care about their patients and treat them like they are family. From the time my grandparents arrived at Neville to when they past on, I saw the quality of care such a high level, even higher than I hoped for. I strongly and wholeheartedly recommend Neville to anyone needing nursing care for a family member.
