Ritter Consulting Engineers was established in 1981 and was formerly known as Ervin Ritter and Associates. In 1991 the firm was renamed Ritter Consulting Engineers Ltd. This Louisiana-based firm possesses over 40 years of mechanical engineering and environmental consulting experience, serving the southeast.

Ritter Consulting Engineers has been in the HVAC consulting business for over 75 years combined experience, with a resume ranging from small projects, such as office buildings, retail and banks to large multi-million dollar government office, military offices, school and hospital work. Systems span from simple DX split systems to complex VAV chilled water systems, specialized system refrigeration and cooling and kitchen hood applications.
The firm has vast experience covering a wide range of project designs from residential to commercial applications. Working with architectural firms as well as owners and contractors, Ritter Consulting strives to provide a finished product that incorporates energy efficiency and an aesthetically pleasing and functional design.
Ritter Consulting Engineers has over 25 years of combined experience in Asbestos Inspections with seven DEQ Accredited Asbestos Inspectors on staff. The firm manages the Asbestos in Schools Management Plans program for six public school systems and five parochial schools by providing the services for Periodic Surveillance, Three Year Re-inspections and updating the school asbestos management plans.
