When I need home repair or home improvement, I usually groan wondering who I shall find to do it and if I can trust them. Especially if the work goes for days. Read on. The decision was made for rather pricey remote controlled hurricane shutters. I had a single positive comment from a neighbor but I groaned, nonetheless. I have to say that MTC Shutters boss, Peter Bolies and his crew of 3 or 4 were outstanding! They worked very hard. They kept me informed of progress and cleaned up every day before leaving, since the work took a few days. Every member of this crew were more than pleasant. Peter was very flexible with the schedule despite being overloaded with work. Now, what I purchased…. The shutters are fantastic. I have no doubt they will stand up in a hurricane. And, they look great! They make the entire balcony look clean and orderly. They open/close beautifully and are quiet. It was not until they installed them that I understood the tough job Peter described regarding the size of panels and getting them up to the 8th floor. It took experience, careful planning and lots of effort. I am more than pleased with the choice to purchase these shutters and did not groan once during the entire process. No doubt the shutters are FIVE star. Peter and all of the crew, Jose, Solomon, Jarial and another worker get FIVE stars for the crew they are!

I had a surprisingly hard time finding anybody prepared to provide a shutter repair service. Eventually I must have used the right google search term, and I found MTC Shutters. I called MTC, for a repair for one shutter, and advice on possible replacement of another shutter. MTC was very responsive, arrived on time as scheduled, repaired the one shutter, and fixed my problem with the second shutter without me having to replace it. I was very pleased with the service provided by MTC. Since the first call, the responsiveness was great. They performed an inspection of what was needed, explained the options and provided a fair estimate. They kept me informed during the fabrication process and the installation was done when promised, with attention to details and explanation of the features once installed.

I started trying to get estimates for shutters back in 2019, but it was like no one wanted to work since most said they'd come by, but few actually kept the appointment. The two estimates I did get were far from reasonable, so I put it off for another year. Come 2020 and I saw good reviews for this company, so I decided to give them a shot. The owner came over and gave me a very reasonable price for the job, so I agreed to move forward. They are very responsive, professional, and were involved in the inspection process from beginning to end. I'd HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone and everyone

My motorized roller hurricane shutters stopped going all the way up so I made an appointment to have it fixed. Very satisfied with the result - fixed in under 1 hour. Prices are reasonable - will definitely call them again when needed. They work with any type or brand or manufacturer - I had difficulty with others who would only repair what they installed. There was a delay and my appt was rescheduled for the next day - not a big deal and understandable given the weather, traffic etc. Bottom line, they got the job done.

Very professional group, the accordion shutters are very easy to open and close. It was a great investment it gives you peace of mind.

Hi Kassandra thank you for the explanation but to the point nothing was fixed at yesterday's visit and the price was not reasonable. Peter was not willing to work with us and my husband got the impression he didn't even want to do the job. Maybe other people have better luck with this company but not us.

Peter (the owner) came out to our place and gave a reasonable quote. We signed the contract and he took care of the rest. He handled the permit (with the city of Miami Beach). He, himself was involved in the installation of the accordion shutters and he did it all in a very timely manner. Melissa (his assistant) is very organized and kept us informed of the progress. He works hard and takes pride in his work. We would most definitely hire him again for another job in a heart beat!!

Took me ages to actually get an appointment with them (they're super busy) but I'm REALLY glad I waited for them and didn't go with another higher-priced company (not because of this other company's higher price but because they didn't seem honest and told me all sorts of things that I knew weren't true) - MTC was terrific, took care of the shutter repairs, came on a Saturday morning, showed up exactly on time, were respectful of my time and took care with our property, took their time and made sure everything was done properly, and we also bought a hurricane shutter crank handle from them too

Got their contact from the internet, after multiple attempts with other companies/handymen, Melissa was very courteous/efficient, and called when she said she would. Met with Peter Bolies, Operation Manager, and his team and was pleasantly surprised at their efficiency, work ethic, and final product. Shutters were serviced, repaired and tested without a glitch; open and close without a problem. Reasonably priced..... Highly recommend.....

Getting an appointment was a bit difficult, since these guys are always busy. But once we set up a date, they showed up on time. I was impressed

One of my shutters got stuck and I couldn't open it. Mike knows his craft and was able to open it, without a hiccup. Tracks tends to rust over time, so without proper maintenance, shutters can become obsoletes. They also lubricated all shutters and changed one rusty handle.

Price was competitive, and I'll call them prior the next hurricane
