Catholic Central High School
While offering excellent academic programs for intellectual development, Catholic Central provides for the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical development of each individual within the framework of Catholic Christian values. As a co-educational, college preparatory school educating over 300 students in grades 6-12, Catholic Central is the largest Diocesan high school in the Albany Diocese.

More than 25,000 alumni strong, our graduates are regularly accepted into many of the nation's most prestigious colleges across the United States. I have been attending CCHS for almost two years now. I have had a great time and learned lots of new things in academics and in sports. As soon as I came here I was welcomed to the community.

The Mission of the Athletic Department at Catholic Central High School is founded on our belief that interscholastic athletics provides educational value for our students. Interscholastic athletics promotes character traits of high value which will lead to success later in life.

These include the commitment to take one's talents to the highest level of performance; embracing the discipline needed to reach high standards; learning to work with others in pursuit of a common goal; and adherence to codes of fair play, self-control and respect.Athletics will also play an important role in creating a sense of community in our school while creating a positive environment in which others wish to be a part of.
Catholic Central High School is the smart choice for Capital Region families looking for a strong academic program delivered in a school community that is known for its small family like atmosphere. The traditions of an academically rigorous Catholic education and a strong sense of community have been upheld at our school since 1923.
This is my 3rd year attending Catholic High, I came as a freshman and am now attending as a junior. I have had an extraordinary experience here, furthering my knowledge academically and athletically. The teachers and staff are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our success. Playing sports the teams and coaches are always supportive and understanding.

Students interested in playing school sports are required to sign-up in the school health office. Students will need a current physical examination and the Interval Health History for Athletics form. The physical examination form must be handed in before tryouts/practice starts. Students who do not follow this process and have not been approved by the health office will be considered ineligible for sports until they are cleared by nursing staff.

The school is sort of disorganized. The principal seems like he has no help. The male office manager is curt and doesn't seem to ever have a concrete answer for any questions parents or prospective parents may have.
Nice school otherwise, but needs some reorganizing.

The first time I were here, there was some dude who came over here near me with a group of people and he was swingin his arms all over the place. They seem very highly extra immature over at this place. I wouldn't trust the other students here to be anywhere near my chillen. Very bad school, DO NOT SEND YOU CHILLENS HERE!!!! ZERO STARS!!!!

The first time I was ever at Catholic Central was as a spectator to a volleyball game. Their fans treated the visiting team to rude sounds while playing when the visiting coach complained the coach or the Catholic Central team stated this was acceptable behavior. That they encouraged their kids to support their students by doing this. I would not want my children associated with this school . Unsportsmanlike and rude. This is the impression it left me with and made me decide I did not want my children to go here. I was brought up to respect people and treat people the way I would want people to
