Giving this place 1 star is generous. Stayed here recently and was bitterly disappointed. They didn't clean rooms at all. Blaming it on covid. You read that right... they do not clean your room. You have to ask for toilet paper, towels, shampoo, etc. Room was small and the hotel is not up to date. The only redeeming quality is the location. Had I known that they would not clean your room I would never have booked it. You shouldn't make the same mistake and avoid this page.

This was my fourth time staying at Safari during the pandemic and I was very pleased! The motel staff was friendly and accommodating! The rooms are clean and comfortable which is why I have returned so many times! I also liked that I never felt it was overbooked. I will definitely return to this lovely motel which feels like a hotel in its entirety.

We booked this place kinda last minute for one night when we got off work a day earlier for vacation than expected. We got a king bedroom, on the first floor of the second building, right on the street. The location of the room was fine, although the door doesn't have a peep hole. Definitely feel like it should considering where it's located. The room also contained a microwave and a great size mini fridge. The bathroom was very clean. They included some soaps (which not all places are doing now during Covid). Room could use some more outlets, the one side of the bed had zero due to the

I would definitely recommend this place. My husband and I with my sister her husband and their 2 dogs - stayed here this past weekend. Last minute impromptu trip. Not only is it affordable, they're dog-friendly, and they're located on the boardwalk. Yes it's a bit outdated, rooms are small but customer service was excellent! We chose the bigger room for the dogs sake and space. I'd come here and stay again even if it were just us 2.

Safari Motel is convenient, clean, and pet-friendly!

Before booking I called with some general questions and spoke with a man who was very polite and knowledgeable. He gave me clear instructions on how to best complete the online booking process. Then, I had questions regarding the rates, and Maria so kindly called me and gave me a breakdown of all the fees. However, our room type was not as expected, and I feel as though we got a little bait and switched upon arrival. The manager removed some fees and let us check out late, free of charge, as compensation.

Rooms were clean! I know that should

Although it calls motel everything was great, and comparable to next door hotels, which did not have any vacancy. All went smooth, check- in/stay/checkout. Rooms are clean and is what you pay for, no more no less. Great overall experience. Personnel is friendly and helpful. Would Recommend to anybody.

Very nice staff. Right on the boardwalk great access to the beach. Clean rooms. Motel is aging and the kids gallop across the hallways in the middle of the night. Pleasant experience.

So, myself and a few others ended up driving to Ocean City in the wee hours of Saturday night/Sunday morning. My significant other and his friend went fishing so we tagged along (last minute decision) to hang out in Ocean City. Well, we got there around 4:30 a.m. and headed to find a good spot on the beach. Yeah, I know, crazy but oh well. Knowing it was a long shot we called around for a hotel room. Surprise - no one had vacancies. We pulled up in front of the Safari and a nice young man was outside. He checked his roster and said he had a room but it wouldn't be ready until 3 p.m

We booked this place for 3 nights and within the first 10 minutes we walked in it had an awful smell to the room which smelled like a mix between chlorine and mildew, and when I went to plug in my iPhone charger it blew a braker in the room and all the outlets didn't work. Let alone almost getting electrocuted only to find that the lamp that was in the room the cord was stripped which is what caused the braker to trip. Which is also I huge fire hazard. AND! They also only let one car to be parked at the hotel so if you have other people coming to stay in another vehicle you are basically screwed

We just got back from spending three nights at the Safari Motel and I couldn't wait to write my review! As many people previously noted, the cleanliness of the motel is really great. While it's true that it is a bit outdated, that really didn't bother us. We were looking for a comfortable and clean place to spend our time that would be close to the beach and that's exactly what we got. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a full mini fridge/freezer and a microwave in our King bed room! The fact that they are dog friendly was essential for us too as we have two medium

I stayed here for the night. It was their first weekend open but everything was clean. He let me check in at 12:30pm, way before check in time. He gave me late check out and then told me I could stay until 4pm if I wanted to. It's right next to the beach and it's pet friendly so I brought my dog. He let me know my dog could stay at the hotel even during off season, she just couldn't be on the beach or boardwalk. He gave me their card and told me I would get 10% discount next time. I had to review since I had a great experience and would like to stay here again.

I love the Safari. Rooms are small, but for two people staying for a week I can't complain! The staff is wonderful and welcoming. Art is helpful and dedicated to this place! My boyfriend and I spent a lot of time sitting on the porch which faces the ocean. It's a beautiful view and a great place to get to know others. When we come again, we're definitely staying here!

We (family of 4) recently stayed at the Safari for 2 nights. Good location on the boardwalk. It's clean but dated. Balcony was nice. Stayed on the first floor rooms were small and you could hear the rooms above and beside you but for motel OC that's to be expected I think. Location is good and parking wasn't bad. It wasn't great it wasn't horrible it was a flop room for 2 nights in Ocean City Maryland

When you have two large dogs this is as good as it gets for a fair price. Art was wonderful and made our stay great with his affable, pleasant attitude.

The king bed was so comfy; it was like sleeping in my own bed. Free coffee 24 hours and it was always hot! Real creamers available, not powder.

Right on the boardwalk. Dogs are allowed on the beach after September 30th, which is when we were there and it was lovely to be able to walk with them in the surf.

I would recommend this place to anyone who can't bear to leave their dogs home when they travel. Many hotels claim they are pet friendly

I had a beautiful stay at the Safari Motel. I loved the fact that it was on the board walk. Everyone was very friendly and anything that I needed help with they were more than happy to assist. I would recommend the Safari Motel to everyone and most of all I can't wait to stay again!!

Hate to start with a caveat, but think it's a warranted note: this place is a motel. Most of the boardwalk places are, so you shouldn't expect hotel service and ammeneties. This place is no exception. That said, we had an excellent stay.

Brought my family and dog on July 4th weekend, so it was high season and hot. Motel operators (owners?) were very courteous. They provide parking, and even went out of their way to move their own cars for us to park when the guest lot was full (due to non-guests infiltrating).

Rooms aren't big, but you're not there to stay in the rooms, are

We picked this motel because they are pet friendly. The staff was friendly. The place was clean. I wasn't impressed with the bathroom. The décor of the main entrance was interesting, at least there was a theme. I'm not a fan of taxidermy but I'm quite sure the animals weren't hunted or stuffed for this place. The accommodations aren't what I'd expect in a touristy area. This isn't a place I would choose myself but it was ok for the weekend getaway with the puppies we wanted. For what they provide it is a bit over priced. There is a $10 extra fee charged for each
